Re: Color Change - Final Update

(this is pretty much a translation of what I wrote on 1000steine.de already) (...) Sorry I can't see ANY good news, all I see is a big PR blurb in a desparate attempt to regain some lost ground. (...) So much for your corporate values then.... (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

  Re: Jake's To-do list

(...) Old brown = wood New brown = chocolate A lot more real things are wood brown than chocolate brown. We're not all going to make Lego chocolate bars! Of the three new colours, new light grey is IMHO the easiest to adapt to. It doesn't make (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Reasons for the color change

Like many others, I am curious about why the colors were changed. I am prepared to accept whatever answer is given, even if it is one that I don't think makes a good case for the change. Some of the reasons that have been given officially (correct (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: library license

(...) That would (as I understand things) be impossible from a legal point of view. (...) Maybe. But that would then require that all the parts authors formally transferred their copyright to LDraw.org. This is possible, but parts authors living in (...)   Re: I'm Glad Bush is Standing by Rumsfeld

(...) I have seen the writing on the wall for Bush ever since he dragged us into an unjustified war. His administration has repeatedly shown signs that they have completely mis-read the situation in Iraq from the beginning, and it was sadly doomed (...)   Re: Brick Built Beasts volume 1

Hi, Bruce. Just wanted to add my thanks for this great resource. Often times when I've needed to create new brick animals for The Brick Testament, I first want to see what others have come up with before me. Finding such examples has sometimes been (...)   Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) Funny, I was looking at that seller's Bricklink store earlier, and thought it odd that he/she is already selling the ships at $140 (15 of them). I can believe 15, just have 2 friends also order their limit of 5 each. Certainly a possible (and (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.market.brickshops)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

I similarly voted for 1x2 bricks, but in rare colors. I think part of this is the nature of such a survey. Going across all themes, it is nearly impossible for a speciallized piece to win through (except garage doors for some reason). Even if all (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego)
