Re: Pictures from RichLUG's Latest Train Show

(...) I'm here! I can only find about half of the photos I took. I am not sure where the pirate ship train and overhead photos are. The instructions I have from my son are that I need to open the images and save in a compressed file. Then I can (...) (22 years ago, 9-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: localization (was re: GPS)

I've always been partial to ultrasonic rangefinding. It's not too difficult indoors under controlled circumstances. The old Nintendo PowerGlove used this technique. For robot localization, you'd probably want a minimum of three non-moving marker (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: TLC recalls 6776

It has in fact been recalled because of the cartoon pages in the back of the instructions, and because of the cartoon pages shown on the back of the box. I have not heard anything about wether it will be reissued with different artwork or not. In (...) (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

  Re: what makes us different?

(...) I reckon there are a few reasons: 1. Building decent ships is a challenge, and tends to involve some difficult to find parts. 2. There is less popular culture inspiration for piratic stuff than for space (or even castle or town). 3. There is a (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-03, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: LDRAWPREDIRS LDRAWPOSTDIRS - additional search paths

(...) I believe that this isn't entirely true. We had a problem at work where a program didn't work right in Windows 9x (I think it was 98, but I'm not entirely sure), but worked fine in Windows NT and Windows 2000. After some careful debugging, I (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)
