Re: another small house (a la David Eaton's Teeny Shack)

(...) Neat idea! Too bad I don't have enuff of that piece... (they're really handy) I was thinking the ULTIMATE way to do this might be to use brown and tan tiles, stacked, and lain sideways, off-center from each other, giving it that thatchy sort (...) (...) I think you're spot-on there, Frank. I received a sobering email from a community member tonight outlining his discontent and frustration with the way the tone of things has turned lately. (...) The type of navigation you seem to be talking about is called "dead reconning" by aviators. This method requires accurate distance, speed and direction mesurments. Counting motor revolutions does not even tell distance if the surface has (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Wow, all I can say is that I'm in shock. I come home to a flame war. Jesse, I'm trying to advocate for you, I'm trying to help you fit in better and I'm trying my best. I thought at first it was going to work, but you keep sending profane flames (...) (23 years ago, 5-Aug-01, to lugnet.people)

Thanks for your comments Rob. The crossed rubber belts are a last ditch attempt to remove the backlash from the joints.   Re: Possible virus sending large emails?

(...) Unfortunately, if the virus is W32.klez, there's nothing you can do, because it's likely not *your* computer infected. It not only sends messages to random people, but forges a random from header -- very evil stuff. I've been getting a message (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
