  RE: Spybotics Comms

(...) PM (...) Great, thxs for this info :) (...) Yes, that's to be expected, from what I experienced with my MicroScout tests. (...) hmmmm... let's hope someone can do some work around that :) (...) Yes, like I did on a CyberMaster and on a RCX. (...) (22 years ago, 19-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: got my first train

Christopher, I think John Neal hit the "nail on the head" with his advice. Like Larry P., I'm not sure I'd pay full retail price for an additional speed regulator. After all, you already own a speed regulator from 4559, and I'm not sure you even (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains)

  More LLW/RLD feedback

Firstly, I'm going to do a "me too" and say what a fantastic time the RLD/LLW experience was - this was my first time, and if you haven't done it already, you will not be disappointed. I can't really justify going back in October :-( but I will (...) (22 years ago, 17-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Inventory Relocation causing delays @ Troy's Surplus LEGO

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am experiencing unexpected delays in processing orders at Troy's Surplus LEGO due to having to relocate my entire store inventory. Here is what happened: Over the last two months I have made (...) (22 years ago, 16-Aug-02, to lugnet.market.brickshops, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Yet another idea - Portable Ldraw system

Eduardo, I really like this idea. I have no experience whatsoever with making bootable CDs, but I'm sure someone else here does. Some questions... I assume that all file saving would happen to hard disk or floppy, unless a rewritable medium such as (...) (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Bulk Bricks, Plates at S@H

(...) Is this a joke? Finding the bulk listings has become almost impossible on Lego.com. Amongst the 45 bulk offerings are small sets that do not qualify as any kind of bulk. The price for common bricks remains higher from S@H than from sellers on (...) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Faulty Output

I'm sorry to have to say this, but it looks like you've blown one of the MX10400 motor controllers within the RCX itself. These chips were made by a company called Melexis. (...) <snipped some reasonable arguments> This is why I recommend that 'brainstorms' goes with something like I2C. That protocol is fast and built into the chip. No software serial I/O is ever needed and every chip already speaks the protocol so (...) (22 years ago, 11-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Well, this is particularly new for me, because I don't go a a TRU every other weekend. Even during the holiday season, It's hard to find good sets at a decent price. Heck, most of the newer lines are too juniorized or overspecizliaed, and (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town)
