  Re: Newbie Question.. FAQ?

(...) Well, yes, that does seem to be how the list I described was organized... And it is a logical way to structure things, I think. Activities was definitely not a good word. (...) Sure, these are great questions to start with. Starting with ones (...) (27 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: list/group merge (was RE: Newbie Question.. FAQ?

(...) My only concern is that there is not enough traffic to warrant a split. Reverse engineering will die down after a few more months - the firmware is 95% finished as far as I'm concerned, with only the ROM and new firmware really remaining - (...) (27 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Thanks to Terry Cruse and Ali V.

(...) Wait! Wait! Let me toot that horn before you put it away. I picked up my last set (a 4543) on eBay just a couple weeks ago. (...) I'd have to say I like the Freight Rail Runner (4564) best. I like the engine design best of the three, and the (...) (27 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Bucket surgery

(...) With the hacksaw method, where you have to pull the crossbar out, yes. With my method of cutting the bar out while it is the bucket, no. It took me less than 30 seconds to turn my orange bucket into a trick or treat bucket for the kids. Rob (...) (27 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.storage)

(...) I think a lot of people are either lurking or don't know about it yet (it's only a few weeks old). You might try posting to RTL and inviting more people over. I have a suggestion, too. Don't know if I've already suggested it, but... I want to be able to view a .DAT file by double-clicking on the filename. /Tore (27 years ago, 4-Nov-98, to lugnet.cad)

  RE: Newbie Question.. FAQ?

I can see how "Building" and "Programming" are activities, but I don't think "Hardware" or "Internals" are. And I think a separate "Internals" section belongs under each CPU section, not together in their own section, unless there's a lot of common (...) (27 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Newbie Question.. FAQ?

(...) Sounds good - a major section on References is also appropriate for the FAQ. Also, a section on Interesting Projects and Creations might also be fun to have. -Kekoa (27 years ago, 4-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)
