  Re: 5206 == ?

(...) Probably. I wonder how it's calibrated? I assume it's basically a rotation sensor. (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Turning with one motor

(...) If you can't get that version working, try making a bot that drives forward with a plain differential (or even a solid axle, for simplicity) and uses a steering wheel (or wheels) which point forward when moving forward but twist sideways when (...)   GMLTC at GATS?

Is GMLTC going to be at a GATS event in the near future? I looked and could not find info on it at Lugnet, only on the Florida GATS. If someone could reply (or email me, preferrably) with info on a possible event, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to make (...)   Re: Who here is from Michigan?

I just recently came out of my Dark Ages, but my childhood in Caledonia (Southeastern Rural Suburb of Grand Rapids) has left me with a good sized collection to build from. Unfortunately, and I do mean UNFORTUNATELY, I now reside in South Bend, (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) I've haven't seen quite that many on the shelves here in PGH, but the stores that I've visited (Target, Wal-Mart, Toys 'R Us) all have Slave I (as well as the rest of the new SW sets). Toki (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Only problem is... I have not been able to send him my address. Hopefully he will see this post, or the one on RTL. Eric (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Expected battery life / motor differences

(...) If you're talking about the tank treads, those scrub a lot when trying to turn in place. A line following bot would probably be easier to build with one of the alternate wheelsets (and I don't mean the little feet!). (...) Depends. If I'm just (...) (...) The "good Jeff" says: Don't return it! Unless you just can't live without Bobe Fett for a few weeks. Call LEGO Consumer Affairs and ask them to replace it. They will.   Re: SFX?

Sounds neat. I still think we need to build some digital motors, or a train whistle module, with the whistle timing controlled by the voltage on the track. The other idea that might be simpler is to build a larger brick/module with a touch sensor (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: Technic Building Modules (was, Re: Review - 8002 - Star Wars Destroyer Droid)
