Re: The Gate of the Present Circular Loan? (Not EXACTLY a Jambalaya)

I'm not keen on copies either for the same reason. My POV? I guess I'd want to know significant things about the models. Who are the firms, what were they trying to achieve. Not word for word, mind you, but enough to give a reader some sense of the (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: LEGO @NASA

(...) Spotted at the Jet Propulsion Lab: 4 spacecraft modeled in Lego. K'nex: 2. There might be more, these are just ones that I have noted. Bruce (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: How many sets?

(...) Wow Frank! There appears to be room for little else! Mine is stored in my basement. Luckily I live in a ranch house and I have a 1000 sq. ft. recreation room in the basement. There is LEGO LEGO everywhere.... Gary Istok (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: NQC wishlist

(...) Hi Dave, I'm using your wonderful tool since just a week now (bought my first RIS for X-mas), and I am already seriously running out of variables ... :-) So, I think your idea of variable types of less than 16 bits such as booles and shorts is (...)   Re: How many sets?

(...) ..... Er..... Um...... under $500 total? That would put me back to 1979, back when my collection had 4 digits in the total parts count. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO @NASA

(...) <nitpick> It's pretty hard to build anything if pieces may ONLY be in the box, or on the model, or has NASA discovered how people can teleport small things? </nitpick> (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: "Quotes" [meta]

(...) James, just a small nit to pick to clarify a common misperception... :) I can't be 100% sure what you mean by "'happy as a clam' with Lugnet!'", but in the context of the message above, I take it to mean that you believe you are using Lugnet (...)   Re: Im thinking of creating a KIDLUG

(...) Awesome idea! Still, I think that minors should be allowed to participate in a LUG with their parents or something. There are some other pretty neat people who are under 18 like yourself who could contribute well to a LUG. But then again, some (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.org.us, lugnet.people)

  Re: 8440 & 8445 Tire size

(...) I believe that it is the standard automotive tire designation of a "High Speed" radial with a rating of 150 MPH/240 KPH. Therefore a performance street tire as opposed to an off-road tread such as an S (sand?) or M/S (mud or snow) Dave (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Houston Area Lego Group:

I'm wondering if any Lego fans in the Houston area (I mean that broadly - perhaps including Bryan/College Station, Victoria, Beaumont, etc., etc.) would be interested in getting together from time to time (perhaps once a month?) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.hou)

  Re: Shipping from Germany

The rates quoted are correct. I've been charged DM15 and DM23 for cashing checks (a little under and alittle over $10) recently. Shipping the Economy option is the best way to go, since it takes 2-3 weeks and is much cheaper than air. You could also (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shipping)

  Re: Swearing?

Re: Service Catalog gone from lego.com

So the service service will go. I live in Switzerland and I telephoned Lego last Friday to order some bits and they took my order as normal. I will telephone them tomorrow to see what the situation is. Regards Tim (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

(...) Hmm.... I can't say I like the looks of this. I hope you're right about Lego Direct. Is Lego Direct going to offer service to Canada, like LEGO Shop at Home does?
