Re: On the subject of gluing

(...) I brushed the glue on. The glue came with its own brush in the cap, but this was a bit unwieldy. Instead I used one of the small brushes typically used for painting models. In general, I had good luck brushing the glue onto the cylidrical (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Roboarm from Dave Baum's super book

(...) We haven't decided yet. I'd like to make them available for other hobbyists, but I'm not sure I want to give them away to my competitors if I decide to write another book.   Re: On the subject of gluing

Harvey's MP-6 MultiPurpose Cement has worked well for me. Its label says that it is for ABS, PVC, and CPVC pipe ... and contains methyl ethyl keytone, tetrahydrofuran, cyclohexanone, and CPVC resin. It's thick enough that it isn't necessary to add (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

483 Alpha 1 Rocket Base Question

I got this set for christmas in the late 70s. It's still in great shape after all these years, but I'm looking for replacement black hoses for the fuel truck: (URL) seem to remember that they were flexible rubber, not a hard plastic. I was thinking (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) He doesn't mean the S@H page 32, but the regular catalog. Search for the set numbers and you'll see what he means - those are technic sets, not ninja sets. And they do look cool... -Shiri (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) i haven't seen the actual sets yet, but going by the illustrations in the 2000 colector's guide catalogue, it appears as if: #8511 ~frost~ has a pair of trans lt.blue spears. #6513 ~onyx~ rather than trans red spears, these appear to be trans (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Ultimate Collector series (different pics)

  "Just Build" at www.lego.com

I don't know how long this has been in place, but it's new to me. (...) Are my eyes wrong too? Because I see blue spears. Just look at what's holding the spears, now that's black. I don't know about the swords, but i do know that I also see red spears, which IMHO I think they're pretty cool. Karl Martinson (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Question How do we know if Brad is for real?

Doyle, I think David's point is, how do we know anything with 100% certainty? Without going too deeply into epistimology (we HAVE done just that on off-topic.debate, you could review it if you're interested) I'd claim that we know things in general (...)
