  Re: Dan Strikes Again...

(...) You mean like THIS: (URL) MY big red beast. We took our tree layout down the day after christmas but I ran big red and the matching passenger train around it. It's dated, and I can do much better now, but I still like it. (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Proud New RIS owner... tires wanted

Nono, Larry, he's talking about the OTHER rims/tires - the ones on the 8440/8445/8520. Dave, Those rims/tires aren't available in a cheap set in white anymore. They are in grey on 8445 ($40), and dark grey on 8520 ($20). If you MUST have white rims (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Dan Strikes Again...

(...) Well, the answer of course is not only to lengthen but the widthen;-) Going 8 wide will solve a lot of proportion problems, even if it leaves you with only 1 car. Hey, it took me 6 months of collecting pieces to complete some of my passenger (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Remy's Big-Ass Lego Christmas! (was Re: Big Lego Christmas)

(...) Whew! Monty Haul! You've got some understanding relatives! My mother hasn't bought me a Lego set since 1970 (but to give her credit it was my first set). But my wife.. ah.. sweet bliss[1]! She bought me 5 new sets! That's where my wife and my (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Building a Mini-fig Army, how much to pay

After building massive Castles, I always feel the need to have a full battle. My problem is that I only have 30 men with which to wage war. I am seeking a cost effective way to acquire 100 plus men. I like the new castle men, as well as the older (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Welcome to Lugnet! If you don't get any nibbles here, the best group for wanted postings is lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, which is technically where your post belongs but I wouldn't sweat it, just the once, especially on a first post!   Re: Roboarm from Dave Baum's super book

  Re: Conversation at TRU overheard

(...) Not all but some. I've seen some parents think that their kid is just going to be crushed if they can't make the set on the box especially when the age range says that they can't. So they nudge their kid toward another set, never thinking that (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Destroyer Droid in new S@H catalog

(...) Whoops, looked at my copy again. I goofed. It is the **JANUARY** 2000 catalog. If you ask for spring you'll get nothing but blank stares (which can be confusing over a phone!) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Dan Strikes Again...

(...) Oopps, forgot this bit... I use the treads that came with the old Expert Builder Bulldozer set (they work like the roller chain links, but are almost three studs wide). You can still get them from Pitsco Dacta but are quite expensive. Dan (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)
