Re: Deals on RIS??? I want to get a few more RCX 1.0s

Pitsco has that big teacher's pack w/4 RCX's (990084, $980). You could probably part out the Robolab stuff, sensors, IR towers, etc. and recoup some of the investment. Don't know if they would discount to clear 1.0s for 1.5s. (If they do, let me (...) (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) We might also start Underground because I scanned those figures for my Minifig Generator and AucZILLA use. Updating Castle too is tempting but would take quite a bit of time. -Suz. (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: The Boats line

(...) Hey! I'm with you on this request. I'd love to see a yaht. Or any sailboat for that matter. I'm personally not exctied by motorboats. But I love watching the Cup race on television. ..All that technology put into what's essentially a low-tech (...) (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.boats)

Re: I got a Friends demo CD in the mail

(...) I have the full version. We tried it last night on our Mac through Virtual PC. It ran fine (mostly). I think the concept of an audio/performance construction kit is neat.   RCX 1.5 vs 1.0 (for the record)

Just pointing out that one visible difference between a 1.0 RCX and 1.5 RCX is that the the 1.0 unit has a "jack" for an AC adapter while the 1.5 does not (neither unit includes an "ac adapter" or an "ac plug", as posted here recently). The jack can (...) (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Deals on RIS??? I want to get a few more RCX 1.0s

It's dawned on me that I probably should stock up on the 1.0 bricks. Anyone know where some deals on these can be had? My applications are pretty much going to be stationary so I want wall power. (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: I got a Friends demo CD in the mail

Taya's playing with the real thing as I type this. Seems OK, I guess. Very not at all brick related, but we knew that. So far it hasn't repeated a sequence, stuff seems to be happening, so I guess it's like an interactive adventure of sorts. (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.games.lego.friends)

  Replacing damaged/lost pieces

My 4-year old Labrador Retriever "puppy" accidently found his way into the room where my new RIS kit was, and now I'm the unfortunate owner of a few custom-modified (i.e. chewed upon) pieces. One of the damaged pieces is a small tire, but the other (...) (25 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)
