Just pointing out that one visible difference between a 1.0 RCX and 1.5 RCX is
that the the 1.0 unit has a "jack" for an AC adapter while the 1.5 does not
(neither unit includes an "ac adapter" or an "ac plug", as posted here
recently). The jack can accept the plug from the ac supply supply cube used for
the current generation of 9V LEGO trains.

Yes, you have the 1.5 version. You can tell because it doesn't have the AC
adapter. Lego didn't mark the units "1.5", they left "1.0" on them for some
reason.

I just received the Lego Mindstorms RIS v1.5 as an early Christmas • present,
but the RCX unit itself says "1.0" on it. Do all of them say this? It
doesn't have the AC adapter plug anywhere, and the serial number is 371372
so I'm pretty sure it's a brand new unit but was wondering anyway.

Thanks,

Daniel
