  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) As mentioned elsewhere, 6195 has this piece; since I have one but it is unopened, yet I still have several loose 1x1 trans-neon-orange headlight pieces, there must also be another set (the Crystal Crawler?) that had them. (...) Didn't one of (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: 7144 Slave 1 at Sears in NS

(...) I also found many Y2K sets in the Sears in Ottawa Carlingwood. I got the 6520 but kind of disappointed. It only have the LEGO direct catalogue! I bought it for the tank track and the base wall pieces. The slope of the wall pieces have some (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Have you seen 2000 Lego in Utah?

Have any of you WAFOLites spotted any year 2000 Lego sets in Utah? I made a round of Target stores, K-B Toys, Sears yesterday and could not find anything new. Should appear any day now! Lego Racer for Playstation was allegedly released this Wed. (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ut)

  Re: [Slightly of topic] Why?

(...) That's a darn fine reason, too! I was in LEGO heaven over in the Netherlands last summer--I didn't even miss not having the "latest and greatest" sets, because there was just SO MUCH available, and much of it was far cheaper than here. The (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: [Slightly of topic] Why?

(...) Sorry Jaco. :( But if it's any consolation, I'll be joining you over in the United Provinces come August. We can go to Amsterdam and cry over our Things That Aren't Illegal™. (Actually, I'll be living in Leiden. My Dutch is criminally bad, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: building walkers

Walkers are (IMO) among the most difficult and fascinating of Lego robotics projects. A very simple walking mechanism I built is pictured at (URL) , but you should also look at Jin Sato's similar-but-better design (with instructions in English) at (...)   Re: Spacecraft propulsion (was: Ship Power Core)

(...) Why fission? Just because it's easier for us right now to garner energy from fissionable heavy minerals rather than the fusion of light ones? The concepts for nuclear pulse propulsion for fission almost always have to be external to the (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.space)

  Arctic 2000

Well, do we need to create a new topic group? Or are we going to confine Arctic to Town? It seems that all these "super-science" series, such as Rock Raiders, Spaceport and Arctic (to name a few) deserve their own topic division from town. Does (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Seance DR0 enclosed

Comin' atcha... To all those on the lego-robotics list: I realize it's sort of shameful that a job this small took so long :-( but I have a very, very preliminary release (as promised earlier today) of the Seance API. Seance is the low-level comm (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: spectre update #2 12/16

(...) Ummm, the code IS the comments. Doesn't everyone do it that way? Seriously, I've worked on too many systems where the comments don't reflect the code.   MIBO instructions

Well, just got a part of the instructions complete, the question is would people rather have them in MLcad or the way I had my other how-to's (Pics of the sections)?   Re: sticky proggy?

(...) If you're using LDLite, you can put ROTATE commands around blocks of parts. That's how I positioned my Mech[1]. This makes it easier to change the rotation, but otherwise it isn't really faster than using submodels. --Bram 1) (URL) Lambrecht / (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad)
