Re: help! trying to pose mini-fig arms  [DAT]

(...) Argh! There are TRANSFORM commands in there? What was I thinking when I wrote the cursed utility? Hmm. Assuming the worst, you can highlight the lines inside the TRANSFORM ... TRANSFORM END commands, then click the "Subfile" button (along with (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad)

High quality scans wanted for BrickSet

Would someone be kind enough to send me 75dpi scans of the front covers of the instructions of 4553, 4556 and 4557 for www.brickset.co.uk? Thanks in advance Huw (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  2000 castle sucks

From what I know of it 2000 castle sucks overall. It has several poops like that arch piece. The new castle tower pieces are also crap. Castle has become juniorised. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: RCX Output

F'amos ... multiple networked RCX's would get pretty expensive. You might want to consider a BASIC Stamp from Parallax or a BasicX device from NetMedia. (2 URLs) is if you can tolerate a train system that isn't 100% pure LEGO. Have fun, - Nick - (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Sales at Meijer

I've been meaning to post this, but I (think I) keep forgetting! Besides the *fabulous* 25% off all LEGO Star Wars, Meijer is running various sales on various sets. I got a 3053 Emperor's Stronghold, for $25.00 (normally $40, right?) Most other (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  2000 Best Sellers?

I think the new Technic SW droids are *great*. I'm talking about sets 8000 Pit Droid, 8001 Battle Droid (most builder-collectors will buy three of these, one for each rank, right?), and 8002 Destroyer Droid. I predict these sets will be the hit of (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

  Re: "Caster Wheel" design ideas??

On reconsideration ... it wouldn't surprise me at all if one or more of your students has figured it out by the time you next meet--so don't give them even a hint until you find out. I often get ideas when I wake up or while i'm showering in the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Wish I had a photo for you ... I do have one reference from the old Constructopedia, at (URL) are fairly simple; what makes them somewhat challenging is the height required for mounting.   RE: RCX Output

Thanks for the much-needed input. My goal was/is to eventually build a fun, interactive multiple train layout with seemingly random events triggered by multiple networked RCX's. It looks like I may be designing a machine that manually turns the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Ultimate LEGO Book - Frustration

OK, this has been posted before, but I'll post it again: the Ultimate LEGO Book can be frustrating. I've got a copy of this book (actually, Kristin got it from my co-worker's wife, who's a DK consultant, so is Krissy, but she doesn't have cool (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.books)

4565 for $99.99 from ZanyBrainy - get it NOW before they're all gone!

Several people have noted that ZB has the 4565 train on sale for $99.99... Well, I called around this morning, and my local one didn't seem to have them on sale.
