On reconsideration ... it wouldn't surprise me at all if one or more of your
students has figured it out by the time you next meet--so don't give them
even a hint until you find out.
I often get ideas when I wake up or while i'm showering in the morning. One
theory I've heard is that, in addition to coding permanent memories and
learning, the brain uses dreaming to problem-solve, and one remembers the
solutions in the morning.
