New Star Wars Lego in Canada?

I was wondering if anyone in Canada has come across the new Star Wars Lego sets? They have been just "discovered" in the US but no one from Canada has said anything. Anyone found anything? Anyone even looking? (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: PNLTC layout

Hi John, All the rolling stock gets rotated. When the members are there. When the OMSI volunteers are staffing the layout we let them run either stock or robust MOCs. The other train clubs show some of their stuff in the cases and this year we (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Pentapterigoid Star Fighter wallpaper

(...) I love it. I love the background space graphic you used, too. Did you paint that, or is it rendered somehow? -- jthompson@esker.com "float on a river, forever and ever, Emily" (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Anyone out there?

Yippee, message traffic! One more post, and the top 4 will be less than two months old! December is gone, anyway. Though NELUG has got its December meeting set on time. In Jan/Feb there will be 2000 sets to look over... On my calendar for Feb 11 is (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nj.new, lugnet.loc.us.nj.tre, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

  Re: Pentapterigoid Star Fighter wallpaper

(...) Hmm, I usually just stand it on its engines. The original version could balance rather well on one wing, but it can't in the new version. I suppose you could build a rack sort of like Eric K's B-wing racks to hold it... (...) If you build it, (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Meijers in Grand Rapids

(...) I'm glad to hear this. My wife and I are going to be spending Christmas with her family in Sparta, and I told my wife two days ago that I was going to be making a trip to that very Meijers. In fact, I think that I have stopped at that store (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: What lego animals are there?

(...) Thinking about it, it's obvious that that's a Jedi Master dolphin who has ascended to a higher plane and become more powerful than we can imagine. (...) Yes! I'm still laughing at this, minutes later. I had to bring my wife in here to show her (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: "If it were my toy company..."

(...) It's true. A "Lego Classics" (not to be confused with "Lego Classic"!) line would do extremely well. (...) A lot of pieces aren't being made anymore -- I doubt you'll be able to order those. (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Inversine sine function

You might give this a try (for -1 < x < 1): ArcSin(x) = x + a(1)*x^3 + a(2)*x^5 + a(3)*x^7 + ... etc. with a(1) = 0.1666666667 a(2) = 0.0750000000 a(3) = 0.0446428571 a(4) = 0.0303819444 a(5) = 0.0223721599 a(6) = 0.0173527644 a(7) = (...)   Re: "If it were my toy company..."

Wow! Todd, those were GREAT ideas! The only things I might add if it were my toy company are: 1) To (maybe) re-release discontinued items that are exteremly wanted. I mean, think Demand and Supply - people are willing to pay a heck of a lot for (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Supercar Sale

IF she bought it at TRU, have her take it back and return it for Geoffrey Dollars credit, then go back, grab one off the shelf, and buy it.   Re: What lego animals are there?

(...) Cool! That would look great as an element in the facade of a building. The Dolphin Multi-Plex or Restaurant or something. BTW, is that a scorpion about to crawl into the girl's shoe???!!!??? Ben Gatrelle (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: What lego animals are there?

(...) Ohmigod! I never saw that in a S@H catalog. I want that dolphin! Drool. (I'm a sucker for transparent or shiny pretty things.) My eyebrows are raised, thought -- what a sadistic set: it comes with a scorpion, so that you may terrorize the (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: What lego animals are there?

(...) My thought was that those animals are big enough that they could be made out of bricks and still be at minifig scale. (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: What lego animals are there?

(...) Check out this set: (URL) comes with a trans-blue dolphin. It would look silly in a minifig zoo of course. I guess it's supposed to be an inflatable pool toy in that set. Did anyone actually buy this set? I would guess that it's still (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Horrible quote from the Scala web catalog

(...) LEGO has two obligations - one, to themselves, to make money, and the second (I'd like to imagine) to make toys that help children grow. You can't make people buy toys that they don't want.
