  Re: Building Bridges

(...) Jeff, Thanks for the idea for adjusting the height of one side of the bridge. I have been using crown gears to send power to both sides of my bridge. When the dogs kick it over it is a pain to adjust. You locked the drive axels together using (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: from whence do these come? Multi-holed grey brick quest

(...) thanks, daniel! yes, this is the set i have. the white axles and red collars are here too. i wonder why the grey technic holed bricks aren't more common? they're the perfect mix of technic and system. i can't see myself parting with these (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)

RE: Laser Module for Mindstorms is Here!

I don't know what the frequency response for a cat eye looks like but most of these laser pointers will fry a human eye if directed into it without us realizing it. The main problem is that the frequency of the pointer is on the fringe of what we (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Jonathan Knudsens LEGO Mindstorms bog

(...) Interessant. Re: e-commerce (was Technic shuttle etc)

I am not sure what a reasonable attitude would be, I was just give my two cents. I was looking to cash in on a good deal (no make that great deal) and I am just disappointed it didn't come through. I think that is within my rights. I know at this (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: My dream about lego

(...) Rachel, it sounds like you might have a Dutch/Belgian or Danish version of the wooden box set. They had the sliding top box tob wooden box sets in the 1960's.   RE: IR scanner

The biggest problem I see with using rotating platforms, etc. is that they are slow and use up a bunch of I/O ports to implement well. There are a number of "one pixel" sensors that you can use with these implementations -- several have been (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) firmly (...) Ahhh, this one is easy as long as it is a PLATE, not a tile. All you need is a 6+ length beam of any sort. connect beam to small plate, pull sideways. Done. Mike (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
