  Re: CFD: Subgroups for lugnet.org.us & lugnet.trains.org

(...) I think most mailers give you the option of automatically allowing subscribes, OR of requiring a human to approve the subscribe. Not MUCH better but a bit. Most large lists run as automatically allowing subscribes, though. (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us)

Re: lack of interest in basic stamp and basicx

(...) Agreed. I love Mindstorms because I don't have to mess with electronics ;) Don't get me wrong about the hardcore programming, though. While I think you need to go past the limitations to the best results, I'm totally amazed at what Lego has (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: LEGO trains...The Future of Model Railroading?

(...) I'm sensing a little hostility here... (...) Well, no, I don't believe I said using decals is totally wrong. I just said that one cannot make the argument that one is totally pure if one uses them. This hobby, when we are considering it (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Radio shack basic electronics book

(...) France is a little odd anyway -- things like the ban on cryptotech and that sort of thing -- and if my reading of history is correct they've always been sort of on the fringe of organizations like NATO. But all that aside, it's probably (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Announcing an extra Q4 BayLUG meeting!

(...) Yeah, cancelling sounds the best. There's been comparatively minimal feedback about the 11/27 meeting. It's really no wonder why that weekend was open at the library. Even if there's minimal or no walk-in traffic on 12/4, that's okay, cuz I'm (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) Hohum.....Yet another international company ignoring their international customers by running a "US residents only" competition. How many times have I seen that? Hey, you guys at TLC, WAKE UP!!! The rest of the world buys your product, so how (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Image maps (HELP...me!)

All I came up with is sites that just give you general knowlege of how to make image maps. I only get the error with IE. Something must be wrong with it. IE is saying that there is an error at a certain line and character and that place is actually (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Radio shack basic electronics book

(...) Thanks for the link. They are definitely willing to ship anywhere in the world. I couldn't find a precise quote on the shipping charges though, only a mention of a $6 additional handling charge for international orders. Now if they would carry (...)   Wanted: McD happy meal sets 7 and 8

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I appear to have missed out on getting sets 7 and 8 for a reasonable price. I have excess of 5 and 6 and would be interested in a trade for 7 and 8... I would like to get 12 of each. Alternatively, I'll offer (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: LEGO trains...The Future of Model Railroading?

(...) I bet it's closer to even money, if you compare to the good HO, not the junk. Lego in never junk, even if we don't always like the design. I have spent a few thousand on both N-scale and LEGO in the past 5 years and I feel I get at least as (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LTMA vs NMRA

(...) Yes, that is it. I don't crave recognition from NMRA. I want: 1. Lego train shows to attend and be a part of. 2. To fantastically increase the interest in Lego trains 3. For TLC to produce some of the train products we have been clamoring for. (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

RE: Radio shack basic electronics book

IMHO, Radio Shack is very hit-and-miss depending upon your location. I also live in the LA area and most of my experiences have been negative and often maddening.   Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) Didn't work for me, either. Damn, guess I'll just have to stick to my tight budget. BTW, I don't think any of you would spend $2000 in a day and probably not in a m a month either (though obviously not enough for life) because you have to buy (...)   Re: Radio shack basic electronics book
