  Re: Looking for # 6339

Probably better to ask in lugnet.market.auction or lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade. Be prepared to pay somewhere near 100 for it unless fortune smiles upon you. Andreas Schauerte wrote: <snip> (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: Line Following by Humans versus Bots

I wish I had time to post more on this right now, but suffice it to say there has been a lot of research on how humans and animals do this type of thing. Staying within a hallway without bumping into the walls is actual done by taking a mental (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Line Followers

With just one light sensor, the problem is that you have to guess which direction you just fell off the line. i.e., your sensor suddently goes from dark to light. Is the dark to your left? Your right? There's no real way of telling, is there? If you (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NELUG Turns 50!!

Eric, I could make that 51, and 1 for ME. Although I'm not yet 18, you said I would be welcome to come to meetings(which I unfortunately am not at liberty to do) so I guess that means I could also be a member, right. And if you do other things like (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.me, lugnet.org.us)

That's *one* kind of signalling indication set. There are about as many as there were Class 1 railroads, everyone did it differently.   Re: HandyBoard Charging

do you have the recommended 12v, 500 ma DC adapter? if not, that explains it. if so, sometimes when the batt is fully charged, you don't get much in trickle charge mode and the light is off. but usually you should see the light being lit dimly. are (...)   Re: LEGO Linux Penguin

GOOD POINT!!! Quick, go add some stuff to your page about how Lego won't sell bulk bricks and how all the slashdot readers should call Lego up and tell them about how cool large creations are BUT Lego makes it hard for the large creation creators... That is one, cool model, Eric. Those click-hinges look like they work real well for that type of thing, it makes it very posable as you mentioned.   Re: LegOS difficulties

First suggestion: don't use 0.1.7, use 990330. Or better yet, 0.2.2, though many people are still having problems with that, and there is no documentation yet (that is the sound of my professors screaming in the background. Sorry.) Hi, Could someone please give me a little bit of advice on building a line follower with the standard lego light sensor? I will be doing the programming for it with LegOS.
