Re: McDonalds Happy Meal Set information

"The under-three toy throughout the LEGO promotion will be a LEGO DUPLO® Parrot and is available by request." If all the sets are for 3+, does that maen the there will be no mini-figs... just freestyle? "Ronald® Helicopter" Great, another (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Star Wars Set WIshes

(...) For me the answer is yes but not a resounding one. Star Wars is actually better then most current lines in terms of generics. (...) I do alot to actually make generics. For the pilots it is easy just change the head. Because aliens are (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Mc Donalds Duplo

It looks like if your Kids are too young for Lego... you'll get Duplo instead! "While each toy can be enjoyed individually, kids can collect all eight and build a LEGO super model aircraft. The under-three toy throughout the LEGO promotion will be a (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.duplo)

Re: BT2 *mostly* bites (Was: Picture of Falcon?)

(...) I have a friend at church who does shirt silk-screening and hat stitching from his house, not too bad, really... He's even offered me a couple'a deals. I'll bounce this off his head. (...) *ba-karoom* Noooo-one expects the Very large (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages)

(...) I actually bought one of the little planes from the adventurers set, on a whim (because I thought it was neat). Inside was the little brochure for the SW sets, which really got me going. My fiance is pretty supportive of it. She'll even urge (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Some disturbing news

(...) But, does this come down to one simple fact: Parent involvement? John Neal actually *enjoys* Lego bricks - I can personally vouch for that! Some parents nowdays just buy their kids toys and that's the end of it - they just tell the kids to "go (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Launch of new site: SimiLego

What I want to know with towns like this one is: how do you reach into the middle of it? What if a train derails in the middle, or you want to change something in there? Kevin (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages)

(...) Fortunately, my wife is quite long-suffering and indulgent regarding my Lego vice. A successful strategy that I have found is to spend as much money on her as I do on Legos. This serves 3 purposes: It makes her happy, gives me a little bit (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Greatest Adventurer Books

(...) I would have to say that Jules Verne, Joseph Conrad, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle turned in some heavy weights in that category. How about the rest of you? Mark L (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Yet another Falcon opinion

My two cents: - I'm not a big fan of the UFO hull pieces, but if they allow it to be produced at something other than an outrageously small scale because of weight/cost savings, I can live with it. - Since this is a preproduction prototype, we can (...)   Re: Greatest Adventurer Movies

(...) City (...) Hi fellow adventurers, While I agree with Bruce that the Quartermain movies stink they still must be considered because the fit the genre perfectly. I guess the best that could be said of them is that they are an extremely (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages)

(...) My apologies . . . in my haste I didn't do my research . . . that should have been "Bring back clear 3x2 slopes from Police Boat 709." (Don't ask how . . .) James "Invent and market through S@H vast quantities of clear 3x3 packs" Simpson (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Star Wars Set WIshes

Does anyone else wish they'd just include 'regular joes' with the various sets some times? Like the X-Wing Fighter, Snowspeeder, Tie Fighter, Naboo Fighter. It's annoying, to us that buy multiples (at least me) to have 10 Luke Skywalkers. It'd be (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Some disturbing news

  Re: Nautilus

(...) Alright I concede it is doubtful that it is impervious to shot. Still you must admit that it is a cool looking vessel and is highly worthy of lego modeling. And I bet you can't use one of those firing lego cannons to sink my model. Mark L (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Ideas for a court jester?

I think, if they made them, these pieces would have been in those under water boats sets (forget what that theme/sub-theme is called, but it has a lot of blue and red, and magnets, IIRC). -- Have fun!
