Re: Upcoming _Star Wars_ Mindstorms and Technics Releases

(...) Han wasn't wearing his vest when he was frozen in carbonite. . . my feeling is that there will be a slave I, and the promo catalog picture that we see of Han Solo is the minifig that will come with the Slave I and somehow have a carbonite (...)   Imperial Guard Backpack

I have an extra IG backpack for anyone who needs it. Will trade for pirate stuff or minifig/torsos. (Yeah so this should go on buy-sell-trade, but I like this forum better--more targeted) Drop me an email Ed (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  They Killed Timmy!

Dang, missed out on one. Islander head-hunters collect Timmy heads gleefully. (URL) Gabriel beat me to that one. Click on head hunter island and Timmy to see. Bruce (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Mini Cabover Semi

With all of the semi trucks posted recently, I thought I'd add my little cabover semi to the group. What makes this one different is that it's only four studs wide and looks decent! It has a tilting cab, an engine, exhaust stacks, etc.... (URL) (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: FA(eBay): blue hoppers

(...) When I got a supply of them from Shop@Home, I believe they were selling them at 50% off their regular price, and I paid $16.50 for them. I looked through my old catalogs, but I couldn't find the Hopper Car in any of them, so I can't confirm (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Fire Extinguishers

I can offer some suggestions. Part of the fun of Lego MindStorms is figuring things out on one's own ... but a few hints probably won't hurt. Because the light sensor is particularly sensitive to infrared (IR), you should be able to use it to locate (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Any info on new castles sets?

(...) :). (...) Lego has been on a two year cycle: establish the theme the first year, fill it out the next, then move on. There wasn't much that was compelling the 2nd year of the Ninja line beyond the Shanghai Surprise and the Minifig set. Even (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: FA(eBay): blue hoppers

(...) And how many 1x2 tilting hinge tops would I have to supply for an even swap? Chris (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: FA(eBay): blue hoppers

The problem with that is that what Larry sees as decent and what I see as decent are two different things. Which is fine by me. I came out of the dark ages a little less than a year ago and have gotten pretty big into trains since (something I (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: New Website

(...) Impressive! Your Falcon is, of course, awesome, and I also particularly liked the Bespin scene and the AAT. (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: What happened to Larrys' eBay Hopper Auctions?

(...) Unfortunate. It would be interesting to see how much damage we (as a group) could do to their feedback rating as punishment for wanting to scam folks and getting pissy when someone tries to educate buyers. Chris (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Version 2 of Amtrak EMD type F 7 attempt

(...) I'd have to say that I liked the front window a lot better in version 1. The slope of the version 1 window definately gave it more of the 'sad puppy dog eyes' look. Other than that I thought the changes were improvements. Steve Martin (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Adventurers set 5901?

Rob, I have replied to you directly but yes it looks the same the UK version is boxed, we don't generally have polygbags over here? I also have a few 5096 sets which are also boxed if you or anyone else is interested? Jakey(uk) (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Fire Extinguishers

(...) Why does this sound suspiciously like a class assignment? BTW, we got your mail the first time, I guess nobody decided it deserved a response. AlanC (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Fire Extinguishers

  RE: Forth vs Assembler

(...) There are a couple of reasons to choose pbFORTH over raw assembler... 1. Assembler requires an assembler, which means downloading and configuring the GNU tools on eiher Linux or Cygwin for Win9x. Not for the faint of heart. 2. Once you get (...)   Re: Home layouts

I have a permanent setup in my lounge room, on the 3 doors in a "U" shape on folding legs. It's rather overcrowded, I need a fourth door I think. Mark H. (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: FA(eBay): blue hoppers

Prior to Busy Bee finding a stash of hoppers, this set mib went for $60 to $80 US. When this little hiccup in supply gets absorbed by rtlers, the price will again creep back up to this level. So if you want one you had better make Larry a decent (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Train track

I am interested in 9V. I would like to add some straight and curved pieces. Actually while I am thinking about it points and crossovers would be wonderful as well. ;-) If you have ones to send me does that mean they are unofficial Ldraw parts? Not (...)
