  Any info on 9700 (aka TC-0) ?

Hi I've just acquired some of the parts for a set apparently numbered 9700, including an instruction sheet that gives a useful illustrated inventory of the contents (the illustration of the box shows a number of "TC-0"). These also show a series of (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

Fatal flaw in that sweepstakes I hope they correct - one entry per EMAIL ADDRESS. Anyone that owns a domain like I do could enter as many times as they want to take the time to (I didn't, I only entered once, though I might enter my wife). (...) Tom (...)   Re: Another ebay scammer

(...) Um, it's WORSE than the McD sets. It's not a limited time set, and the starting bid was 400% markup, and if the guy used the buy-5-save-$4.50 deal in the S@H catalogs, it was a 600% markup. Believe it or not, some of us PAID $11 for that McD (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Pretty damn sad, especially since one person bought all 5. And I just ordered 4 of those today for a CDN RTLer for cost... (...) Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Another ebay scammer

(...) Hmm. Curiousity. What about e-mailing a bidder after the auction is over? What if you wait until the auction is over, and then provide neutral feedback? Could eBay legitimately gripe if I went out and bid on one of these 'rare' sets, and then (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

What set(s) is this piece found in?

The piece I'm referring to appears in 4558 Metroliner - it's the black umm... "electrical connector" thingies that attach to the roof of the train itself. (Nothing to do with the headlights!) What I'd like to know is if those pieces are available in (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
