Re: The History Of LEGO Sloped Bricks - Part 1

(...) A number of slopes I have are 'pitted'. In other words, it looks like they have lots of little craters. I'm pretty sure this isn't an abnormality because the craters are all the same size. Have you ever encountered any like this? Jeff (...) (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: motorized switching rails

(...) Hmm... use little ones by the switch/turnouts and big ones on the back fascia? Those big ones would be visible from a long way off, that's a good thing. (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Greater Midwest Lego Users Group

(...) Oooh! Oooh! ohhh! can I answer that? Just kidding. Where DOES the midwest end? Isn't mizzourah part of the south? (yes, I know it wasn't part of the Confederacy) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.wi, lugnet.loc.us.mn, lugnet.loc.us.il, lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.loc.us.ia, lugnet.loc.us.mi, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.loc.us.mo)

Re: Greater Midwest Lego Users Group

I'd like it to be officially fun looking, or, if you'd rather, offical looking in a fun way. Hope that helps. MN only: (ignore if not MN) So is the meeting next week Wed or Thu? Heck I may just come over both nites, who knows.   Re: Yet another Datsville update

(...) Actually I use color 43 (Trans. Cyan or Trans.-Lt. Teal) for my town windows and visors in LDraw/LEdit. It tends to look more realistic (when compared to the Legos in question). I use 41 for the burnt-out Trans. Chartreuse from M:Tron, (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: motorized switching rails

(...) No, you could use numbers, if you had number bricks or number tiles (the tile supply is limited so I think you're restricted to base 4 (0,1,2, and 3) numbering. The 1x1 number bricks are rare nowadays. -- Larry Pieniazek larryp@novera.com (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 3438 McDonald's set - want it, but not in the US? I can get it for you

Haven't checked with Tom on this but another way to pay, assuming he approves, is using my factor service. However, for 11 dollars plus postage, my fees may not be the most economical say to get Tom paid. Note that I am specifically NOT offering to (...)   Re: Meeting over the y2k holidays?

(...) I'll be in the area from Dec. 27 through Jan. 7. I'll be able to drive over to Austin for any day (or two) in this time frame. Is it worth the drive to Houston to see NASA? Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.dfw, lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Re: Wanted: Pots, Pans, Cauldrons, Mugs, and Glasses

(...) That was the first thing that came to my mind too. Red isn't inherently a bad color; in some parts of Europe, at least, it is the predominant roof color (which presumably explains why it's so widely used by TLG in their sets). Or maybe red ABS (...)   Re: 6444 (and 8414 on sale)

Frank Filz found them at 9.99 - the local KB store (in the Bayfair mall, for SF-area folks) had 4 @ 12.99, so I bought all 4. This particular store had the 8414 set on sale for $19.99 - I bought one last night, there were 3 left. Paul Sinasohn who (...)   Re: Meeting over the y2k holidays?

(...) I'm going home to Ohio for about 7 days around Christmas (Dec 22nd thru Dec 29th) , but that sounds cool if I'm here in Austin at the time. What time period are you going to be in Texas? (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.dfw, lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)
