 One additional question, are you driving the 24t or 16t section of the
 differential with the 8t on the motor?

I think it would be hard to set things up to drive the 16t portion with a 8t gear, due to the spacing of gears w/ regards to lego unit spacing. 16t driving 16t is possible, but (...)
