Re: Greater Midwest Lego Users Group

Another update, I've been swamped between home and work but John Neal (Thanks J2) came up with two ideas for logos: (URL) which one do people prefer? (...) The word BURP... does it stand for anything specific? or just the AFOL word for such pieces? Has LEGO officially said why they have chosen to use such pieces in more and more sets? I have two thoughts.. I would suspect that such pieces are (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

The next gathering has been rescheduled to Sunday, 9/26, starting at 1pm. It was originally Saturday, 9/25, at noon. (...) Got it. I couldn't figure out how to add a swap *file* in Free BSD, so I'm rendering it on a Sparc5. It's still parsing... It's hovering around 820MB right now. I'll probably try it on the rs/6000 (much faster) if I can get povray to compile (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Ship hulls question

I am wondering if the hulls in set 315 (container ship) and 1650 (Maersk Ship) are the same? Its hard to tell from the pictures. Does anyone know the dimensions of either hull? What did these ships use for ballast? Thanks -- Have fun! John Auctions (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Another McD rip off...

I have to agree with Greg about this set (I just got mine today). It is nice. The only complaints I have are that they should have used a pair of those smooth top arches with a few 1x1 bricks to make the golden arches, and that they should have (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 6444

(...) Hi Erin, You would omit the 1 because a 1 is assumed if left blank. You would also put the one (were you to include it) as the third number. And finally, those are 8 wide, not 9. --Chris (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
