Re: Weekly Feature of the TCLTC Layout: Update using Lifelites, Part Deux

(...) Oh now you're corrupted! the drilling holes won't be the end of it--not by a long shot :) The landing pad looks fantastic! nicely done!! (...) Thanks, Steve. As you already know all too well, the credit goes to Ross! (URL) The interior lights and the subway lights are the same; I found them on ebay. (URL) is a link.   Re: Weekly Feature of the TCLTC Layout: Update using Lifelites, Part Deux

Hi John, How are you lighting the subway. And then on the next couple videos it your layout at "night". What kind of lights are you using to light the building interiors? Very nice BTW! SteveB (13 years ago, 9-Feb-12, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, FTX)

Re: Terrified of the Free Market, LEGO Begs for Protectionism

(...) Love the headline. Bonus points for me knowing who wrote it before seeing your name ;) For what it's worth I'm on your side. I won't buy MB but a) they have a legal right to do what they do and b) they've made LEGO lift its came by existing. (...) (13 years ago, 8-Feb-12, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Terrified of the Free Market, LEGO Begs for Protectionism

(...) Like I said, YMMV. LEGO has--at every turn--attempted to stifle competition and prevent fair access to the marketplace. In this particular case, they sought the endorsement of their anti-competitive practices by nothing less than the US (...) (13 years ago, 8-Feb-12, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

  Re: LMC - floor plan

(...) Modern UV protective treatments on windows should reduce that problem significantly either built-into new windows or in after-market applications. (13 years ago, 8-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Terrified of the Free Market, LEGO Begs for Protectionism

I was commenting on the hyperbolic headline to this thread which included the inaccurate accusation that LEGO is "Terrified of the Free Market". I did not express any opinion on MB products or practices since such are not relevant to the discussion (...) (13 years ago, 8-Feb-12, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

(...) At our Halloween events last year, we discovered that trans-neon green (anti-freeze color) bricks glow wickedly under black lights! Trés cool effect! Just another thing to make you go, "hmmmmm". (URL) JOHN (13 years ago, 8-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: LMC - floor plan

(...) Steve- Watch out for that natural light - I have found that UV light is a huge contributor to yellowing of the brick. Maybe it isn't such a problem in newer brick, but I got quick yellowing of Lego with UV light from the barn layout when I was (...) (13 years ago, 7-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Terrified of the Free Market, LEGO Begs for Protectionism
