  Re: 8263 Snow Groomer Review

(...) You mean 8865 right? But yeah I agree, and I had found them actually very simple to follow. The only instances where old school instructions were difficult were the early 853 auto chassis (the plates in the blue engine) and all the tubing for (...)   Re: WeDo +RCX?

(...) You are correct---there is a tilt sensor and a distance sensor value available in the sensor value block. These get shown even if the motor blocks are not being shown, so I don't know why I missed them before. The values are 0 if no WeDo (...) (15 years ago, 11-Jul-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: WeDo +RCX?

(...) I saw a "WeDo 2 Puppet" project on the Scratch website that specifically mentions the use of the tilt senso so I suppose it must be possible to use sensors as well. "The scratch project uses the tilt sensor to decide when they spin" Jetro (15 years ago, 11-Jul-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: 8263 Snow Groomer Review

(...) The juniorization (or simplification to a level of near brain dead builders) of the building instructions is a whole new area for discussion and one that can certainly generate a lot of comments in both directions. Some would say it may have (...) (15 years ago, 11-Jul-09, to lugnet.technic)

Re: The LEGO Group to Participate in NMRA National Train Show 2009

(...) As much as I would love to take credit for the Grand Carousel, it should be clarified that that model was designed by Steen Sig Andersen. I'm just responsible for the detailing around the top with the gold plates, jester hats and inverted (...) (15 years ago, 11-Jul-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

James May to build full size Lego house!!!...!!!

This is going to be fantastic I can't wait for this. I've often wondered how I would go about such a challenge myself. (URL) would probably not like the use of glue as this would be too easy. But then the prospect of a full size lego house (10's of (...) (15 years ago, 11-Jul-09, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: 8263 Snow Groomer Review

(...) Hears the thing. We cut down trees to make paper. Before that might have been a bad thing. BUT things are much more regulated now. Trees are now grown in treefarms specifically to be cut down. I'm sure I read or heard somewhere (you might want (...) (15 years ago, 11-Jul-09, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8263 Snow Groomer Review

(...) The environment argument gets even thinner when you consider the fact that set 8259 (Mini Bulldozer) has 3 instruction booklets - 2 for the main model, and one for the alternate model. Considering that this is only about 65 pages worth of (...) (15 years ago, 10-Jul-09, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: WeDo +RCX?

So far as I can see from the Scratch interface, there is control of one motor, but no sensors. (There are sensors via the ScratchBoard, but not through the WeDo interface.) I don't have the WeDo hardware, so have not investigated further. Kevin (...) (15 years ago, 10-Jul-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: 8263 Snow Groomer Review

(...) The excuse about the environment is not a very solid one. Maybe LEGO uses less paper and ink, but many people still like to have a physical copy of the document and printing a single set on an inkjet printer is more environmentally unfriendly (...)   Re: 8263 Snow Groomer Review

(...) I do believe that the 8258 crane truck will have it's b-model instructions soley on the internet (not included in the set). Legos reasoning is that it helps save the environment by uing less paper (which if i'm totally honest is a load of BS (...) (15 years ago, 10-Jul-09, to lugnet.technic)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

  Re: WeDo +RCX?

Re: Would the last person to leave, please turn out the lights?
