  BLTG? Are they still about?

Tried for a while to get onto their homepage, but it does not resolve - does it still exist? (16 years ago, 4-Dec-08, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: PFS Pakistani Truck

That reminds me of the ice cream/frozen curry truck from the movie (URL) Bubble Boy>. David (16 years ago, 4-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: LDD space ship

(...) Thanks for the heads up; I've re-uploaded it to Brickshelf after re-saving as a .png on my computer @ 600+ kb, so I think it's fixed this time. Jeff (16 years ago, 4-Dec-08, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: PFS Pakistani Truck

(...) Spotlighted. Thanks for sharing. (I was going to crosspost this to the Pakistan group, but that I can't find it in the .loc list... has it been overlooked? Or am I just overlooking it?) Richie Dulin CO Legeaux (16 years ago, 4-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

(...) Hehe. I'm almost done already. :) Only a few more hours to go. Luckily, the relevant syntax hasn't changed between L3P 1.3 and 1.4 and the process overall is surprisingly simple. -Mike (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

  PFS Pakistani Truck

(2 URLs) BS> (URL) The Brothers Brick> Hi all, Pictured above is my version of a Pakistani Truck. I'm rather fond of its garish look and crazy design but I'm even happier about my use of Technic in it. I managed to (URL) in> PFS-based remote-control (...)   Re: PF Liebherr 964 Excavator

(...) LoL! Thanks Bob. Maybe it'll make it into the sidebar during it's next update :) Chris. (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

(...) Such a tool already exists (with limitations), although it is probably a bit old by now. Take a look at the bottom of this page: (URL) written in Delphi (Pascal), and you're welcome to have the source if it can help you in any way. (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Render Effects, (Was: Re: L3P Question)

(...) This sounds quite a lot like my Christmas tree lights, a render from 1999, (URL) go down the page a bit. This render is only illuminated by the lights in the Christmas tree, no external light sources. Please note that I have not tried this (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Render Effects, (Was: Re: L3P Question)

(...) Got it. So although there is a "-ar" flag, it is not fully capable yet. I assume therefore that any of Anton's parts I wanted to use I would have to extract from his library and insert into my POV file, along with any required rotations or (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: MLCad being used by Lego Universe dev team?

(...) So do I. I definitely think it's very cool to have a shot from my program show up in an official page at lego.com. Of course, as far as I can tell, LEGO Universe is being developed by a 3rd party (NetDevil Studios), so the shot presumably (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

(...) I don't think it's safe to assume that L3P won't change its POV output, and I don't think it's fair for the existence of a tool that depends on that output to discourage Lars from changing it. (I know you weren't implying that it would, but (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: MLCad being used by Lego Universe dev team?

Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

I'm thinking of creating a tool to reconstruct LDR models from L3P-generated POV files. I'm wondering before I start what particular potential problems I should look out for. POV SDL is quirky to say the least, but at first glance L3P's output (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: MLCad being used by Lego Universe dev team?

The LDraw suite of tools might be the easier method to create simple models from scratch than the heavyweight parts-authoring tools they probably use in-house. In fact, I still find the original ledit.exe by James Jessiman to be in many ways more (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: "LGEO" and "L3P v1.4 BETA 20080930"

One additional suggestion I'd like to make is to, instead of writing the same data repeatedly over and over for each part, store the part data (matrix transformations and materials) in arrays and then traverse at the end of a file using loops. (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: MLCad being used by Lego Universe dev team?

(...) Here's a snapshot from LDView with settings and light angle tweaked to reproduce the image as closely as possible: (URL) I don't know about you, but I know what I think ;-). --Travis (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: BT fails when downloading to NXT from brixcc

(...) Could you make sure you are using the very latest version of BricxCC and that you have the very latest Fantom drivers installed on your computer? The latest BricxCC was released just a few weeks ago. Follow the "latest version" link on the (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: MLCad being used by Lego Universe dev team?

(...) The shading looks too smooth to be MLCAD. Also, the studs in the image have the logo on top, which MLCAD doesn't do. -Mike (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

MLCad being used by Lego Universe dev team?

Hey guys, Got the latest Lego Universe newsletter, and found this interesting. (URL) screenshot of the CAD bricks seems to be from MLCad, with the edge lines and stud resolution. I would think they'd be using Lego's internal Maya library. -Stefan- (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)
