Re: TLG wants your input on the CITY line

(...) Ouch! If this is true, it will mean a serious blow to my budget :/ Cheers, Matija (16 years ago, 9-Jul-08, to lugnet.town)

Re: Peter Parsons - very sad news

(...) Peter and I have had our differences and I'm very happy we managed to resolve them before his untimely death. My condolences to all his family, friends and those who knew him well. It is always sad to see someone go before their time. Tim (16 years ago, 9-Jul-08, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: New Project: DatShine, LDA, PreL3P, L3P, And POV Involved

(...) Yeah! SW Light sabres! Such a brilliant idea. The only bad thing is: Why didn't I think of it first? ;) You may wish to replace the official 16-edged minifig heads with perfetly round ones, too: (URL) more in my 16 replies to this post: (URL) (16 years ago, 9-Jul-08, to lugnet.cad)

Call for Presentations at BrickCon 2008

BrickCon 2008 is looking for any talks, roundtables, and special activities you would like to see at the Con this year.   Dark brown vs. old brown?

Could someone please point me to a picture of a dark brown brick next to an old brown brick? I can't find anything on Brickshelf or Flickr. Thanks! Marc Nelson Jr. (16 years ago, 9-Jul-08, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: New Project: DatShine, LDA, PreL3P, L3P, And POV Involved

(...) Hi Tore, I've done some digging with Datshine again recently and came up with some interesting renders using your program. I was able to make the equivalent dat files in other colors by copying your examples in L46 and L47 to make a light blue (...) (16 years ago, 9-Jul-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: TLG wants your input on the CITY line

As others have said, we need places for minifigs to live, but at lower price points than the gorgeous greengrocer/market st/etc. My suggestion will be America-centric but could be obviously modified to be Worldwide Name of Theme: City Homes Short (...)   Re: TLG wants your input on the CITY line

(...) Agreed. Actually, I heard Pierre Normandin was actually working for lego now. They should just give him free reign, and I'll be a happy, if slightly poorer camper. (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: TLG wants your input on the CITY line

(...) Kinda like a "LEGO City Suburb", or more like a LEGO..."town" (yes, the throwback is intentional), as opposed to "LEGO City"... so LEGO City is more urban, "LEGO Town" would be more suburban or "small town" setting. (...) I'd particurlarly (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: TLG wants your input on the CITY line

(...) Maybe more like "Mass Transit"? That could be lumped in with the trains (trains, buses, and a streetcar could use train track, just have some additional plates to place between the tracks to cover the railroad ties.. Additionally, I'd love to (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.town)

Re: TLG wants your input on the CITY line

(...) I read in another post that Lego wants to target the sets to 5-10 year-olds. I have 2 kids in that range. There are several MOCs on Brickshelf that I think Lego could take inspiration from and produce sets. My two boys agree that they would (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Auburn Boat Tail

Really, really gorgeous! You captured the simplicity and depth of the design all on a very tight scale. It is great to see a MOC that simply impresses without mentioning any detail. I'm glad you took the time to buld this. Thanks for sharing and God (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: How to properly "announce" MOC's

(...) I admit I have been tempted to do so already - however the figures as of now are not exactly meaningful yet. This may change rather quickly. I wouldn't want to encourage anyone to "click their posts up the charts" though, if you see what I (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: How to properly "announce" MOC's

(...) This is a fantastic implementation! Nicely done! Will there be a future state where we'll get nightly (or weekly) listings for top read articles akin to the top sets list that LUGNET automatically generates? Just wondering. Keep up the (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)
