Re: Exhaust Pipes 71137 and x855 misaligned

(...) No, I did not. It is not on the unofficial parts list and the latest full release of LDRAW on ldraw.org still states 2004. Latest official parts update states 2005. Is it stupid me or is it hidden somewhere? I downloaded somewhere mid-2007 and (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Technicopedia Update

I have to say that's an absolutely amazing site! Fascinating stuff, I have it bookmarked and I'm looking forward to the rest of your updates! :-) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: It’s the year 2008, where are my parts updates?

(...) Bad idea! A much more elegant way to include unofficial parts, without the need ot mix them with the official library can be found here: (URL) w. (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: It’s the year 2008, where are my parts updates?

(...) As pointed out here: (URL) merge the original LDraw core library with the Complete.exe updates. Once the CA-library is published, there will be just one package containing all parts and no Ldraw.exe, LEdit.exe. Plus the library will be (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: It’s the year 2008, where are my parts updates?

(...) No, the six parts are not the reason for the delay but the inconsistency of the part's header with the need to check/convert every single part, plus all the extra work that has to be done for the new package - read: all-in-one-installer, (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Crane...

(...) This is correct. Real cranes have roller bearings that are pinned in place that bear the weight and force of the superstructure where it is connected to the base. (...) I am going to use a threaded axle through the center to hold the plates (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: It’s the year 2008, where are my parts updates?

(...) To answer both of your questions, take a look at LDraw.org's (URL) Unofficial Parts> page. Although the 'instructions' are kinda brief. Sorry about that. Basically, you do this: Download the zip file (the link at the bottom of the unofficial (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Which glue?

(...) Brian, I would try a dab of silicone adhesive caulk. You can check the specs but think would be good down to -60----if not there are some that are. Messy but would bet it would work. Also, try roughing up the beam with bit of sandpaper which (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.parts.mod)

Re: It’s the year 2008, where are my parts updates?

(...) Are there instructions anywhere on how to download and install or update unofficial parts? Is there a repository where all the unofficial parts live? Thanks, Paul Sinasohn LUGNET #115 (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)

How do -you- clean your LEGO parts?

I don't think LUGNET has had any discussions about this in quite some time. How do -you- clean your LEGO parts? I'm interested in learning people's techniques, particularly ones that clean a lot of parts at once with little effort. LEGO that's been (...)   Re: Exhaust Pipes 71137 and x855 misaligned

What should happen with the lugnet.robotics.nxt sidebar?

Hello, LUGNET readers. In case you don't know, I'm the lugnet.robotics.nxt curator. I used to update the NXT section sidebar with [in]frequent regularity, but during the last couple months I've not done anything to it. I get busy and/or don't take (...)   Re: Exhaust Pipes 71137 and x855 misaligned

  Urban Pool Hall

Hello, I had been uninspired lately but broke out of it (for a little while, anyway) to build this Pool Hall. I hope this is the first of many more buildings for my new layout. (Urban Landscape 2008/2009) (4 URLs) After mod: (URL) This was built on (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town) !!

  Re: Which glue?

(...) Brian, Have you tried Gorilla Glue? You just have to be careful not to use too much as it expands as it dries. I'm also assuming that it's the flat-plain side(s) of the beam (not the technic pin hole side(s) ) that you are trying to affix to (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.parts.mod)

  Re: Discovery channel-How It's Made-Plastic building blocks

(...) "How It's Made" is produced in Canada, so Megablocks was probably their first choice. Great show, too - I can sit and watch it for hours. JohnG, GMLTC (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: It’s the year 2008, where are my parts updates?

(...) That's what I do, too. And update from time to time. (...) I heartfully agree: we are desperately missing reviewers! While it does require some LDraw knowledge, it is nothing compared to authoring of complex parts... it took me years to get up (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)

Exhaust Pipes 71137 and x855 misaligned

Hi, Again, while doing these parts for LGEO, I discovered the exhaust pipes old 71137 and new (with Pin) x855 (unoffical by GuyVivan) to be misaligned. They have a different origin point, which is not the problem. If you place them in a the holes of (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: It’s the year 2008, where are my parts updates?

(...) I'm *sure* that LDraw is not on death row. I have faith that things will get resolved. I'm sure part of the problem is that we have real lives, and sometimes that gets in the way of LEGO. Are you sure you cannot get along with an unofficial (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Discovery channel-How It's Made-Plastic building blocks

Discovery channel-How It's Made: Today, Feb 21, had an interesting segment on the making of plastic bricks, Mega Blocks. I would assume that it is the same process that Lego uses (too bad they did not use the Lego Company, wonder if they were (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.general)
