Re: LDraw File Format Spec 1.0 DRAFT - Call for Public Comments

(...) Are you authenticating by replying to the "Message awaiting authentication" email? If so, see my thread in lugnet.admin.general (and lugnet.-off-topic.test) about the very long delay I experience when auth-ing via email. Doing it via the web (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

  RIS 1.0 + 1.5 updgrade + Vision + other stuff

Is there any interest in a RIS 1.0 (has AC adapter jack) + the RIS 1.5 upgrade pack? I've also got the Vision set and a few other RIS related sets. I'll need to dig it all out of my basement to see exactly what I have. I bought all of this stuff new (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Newbie Q's about development environments

Hi all, I recently got an NXT and have been having a blast. The iconic programming environment is driving me up a tree, however. So I'm looking for something else, but I'd like to avoid evaluating them all -- thus I turn to you for advice. I'm also (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

(...) Those matrices would be wrong in both cases (assuming xyz is the translation), you probably swapped those with the next matrices. :) (...) The first one here is a column major and the second is a row major matrix, and you are right, they are (...) (17 years ago, 22-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

(...) My issue with spaces is not with programs supporting them or not, it's that the elements inside a line are delimited by spaces, you have 1 <space> color <space> x <space> ... <part> but then when it comes to file names that rule is broken. I (...) (17 years ago, 22-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

What's going on with all the back-ordered sets???

Hey all. Stacy and I were just wondering if anyone has heard anything about why so many sets are on back-order at U.S. S@H. The MTT has been on mega-long back-order, so I've been waiting to order it and a bunch of other sets I've been looking at are (...)   London Underground 1972mkII Tube Stock

The 1972 tube stock was a minor evolution of the 1967 stock that was ordered for the Victoria line. The first batch (MkI) were for the Northern Line to replace 1938 stock. The second batch (MKII), while intended for the new Fleet (now Jubilee) line (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.underground, FTX)

Re: new moc: microscale caribbean resort

Very nice! You combine two of my least faviourite building styles (town and microscale) into a beautiful creation. I love the perspective and scale as well as the realistic layout. Keep up the good work! God Bless, Nathan (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Portable MPD Submodel Names

(...) Actually, I think you are correct. It makes sense from that perspective. The line type 1 naming rules apply to anything referenced by a type 1 line, including submodels. Thanks, Mike! Jim (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

SW droids - are they minifigs or just a bunch of parts?

Based on heated discussions/threats () on a well known lego selling site, what does the Community think about Star Wars droids: Should they be treated as minifigs or are they just a collection of mostly non-specialized parts? Should there (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: Portable MPD Submodel Names

I think the answer is very easy. Linetype 1 is for referencing to an existing LDraw file, doesn't matter which type (part, subpart, primitive etc.) So it is not necessary to describe that in the MPD Language Extension. The MPD Language Extension is (...) (17 years ago, 22-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: MOTM Contest Questions and a Proposal

(...) OK. I think I will stick to the conservative naming scheme for now, just to be on the safe side. LDView's automatic part downloading is just killer. I suppose a reason to use submodels is to guard against the chance the unofficial parts are (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad)

Suggestion - Factory Middle Layer for Café Corner
