Re: Sticker Generator for LDRAW / MLCAD

(...) Jim, I searched and searched for a program that would do this and never found one. I was surprised that there wasn't something, but it looks like I was wrong. You can absolutely put a link from you page to my download page. I'll have to (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jul-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Sticker Generator for LDRAW / MLCAD

(...) Very cool! May I add a link to this from my (URL) page? I suspect the desktop program does not have the size/speed restrictions that limit my script. Jim (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Sticker Generator for LDRAW / MLCAD

I would like to share my sticker generating tool, that I created to convert bitmap images into flat part files (stickers / decals) for use in ldraw based CAD programs and rendering programs.   LUGs in and around the city

Greetings- I'm newish to this AFOL business, and have never been part of a LUG. I would love to meet with the other talented builders I know are in and around the area. Given the lack of recent posting within this region, I assume there is not much (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

Re: Temporarily removing official NXT driver to use SAM-BA

FYI, just in case anyone has this problem in the future, I was able to fix it by using "Update Driver" in Device Manager while the NXT was in SAM-BA mode, and telling Windows that I would choose the driver. On the list were the Lego driver and the (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Stealth gunship

Robert, The US seems to have moved away from having lighter undersides on both planes and choppers (perhaps because so many missions are at night) but I've seen a number of Russian helicopters with lighter undersides. I'd guess that it has less to (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Stealth gunship

(...) I don't see the utility of having lightened undersides for helicopters since they generally fly so low. It certainly helps high flyers like fighters and bombers. Your MOC is a fine looking helicopter. (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

Hi, (...) probably some problem with the USB data transfer on your computer, which corrupted the firmware. This seems to occur with some computers, LEGO put out a driver update last year to correct it: (URL) that the ticking sound doesn't (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

(...) I've resurrected the "dead" NXT using the standard procedures and my home computer. Perhaps, the computers in the lab where smarter than mine. Mine performed the download but froze up.   Re: Update news on BrickShelf.com

(...) Maybe the plan was to cause a mass exodus from brickshelf to other services, in order to lower the bandwidth cost and make it manageable. If so, it certainly is likely to work. More power to brickshelf staying alive. It would be sad to see it (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LEGO AFVs

Don, The wheels or tracks effectively add 2 to 6 studs of width, so starting anything more than 8 wide is going to make for a unrealistically big tank. I'd start with 6 o 8 in width, and maybe two and a half times that in length. I like to make sure (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Update news on BrickShelf.com

(...) I'm grateful that brickshelf exists, but I still don't see why that should give him a free pass for pulling a stunt like he did. It's simply bad business practice. If that's how he wants to run his business, that's fine, but I won't be a (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.general, FTX) !

(...) Hi Dave, Lenny has pretty well summed up my argument (although I'm happy with a slightly larger photo size). On the whole I care less about dimensions and more about Kb wastage.
