I don't see the utility of having lightened undersides for helicopters since
they generally fly so low. It certainly helps high flyers like fighters and
bombers.

Your MOC is a fine looking helicopter.

Robert, The US seems to have moved away from having lighter undersides on both planes and choppers (perhaps because so many missions are at night) but I've seen a number of Russian helicopters with lighter undersides. I'd guess that it has less to (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

Hi again, Might as well post another chopper while I'm on a roll:) The Skystalker Stealth Gunship is the first aircraft I've built in a few years. It looks a lot like the classic Cobra gunship, but was mainly inspired by the stealthier Commanche. It (...) (17 years ago, 22-Jul-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.military) !
