  Brickworld Sci-Fi(Space and Mecha) Contest

Hey gang. I decided to try something different from fest contests in the past. This year we will be having a 2 size category, limited set build. Anything goes. This will occur on site on Friday 6/22/07 from 1 pm to 3 pm. The mocs will be judged that (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

[Sorry, I know this is a duplicate for some of you on the mailing list, but I wanted to answer this in LUGNET and hadn't realized before this is where the email came from. My bad.] (...) The bumper can be studded or studless, and could certainly (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

(1) "the bumper should be at the height of the red Technic beam in this figure" Does this mean that a the design must use a studded beam? (A stud-less beam is not as "tall" as the beam in the image.) (2) "The bumper must be straight and not angled (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Any Good Ideas For Custom Brick Separators?

(...) Its seems to me that one of these would do the trick: (URL) Technic pieces have got a slightly smaller hole diameter, and so it should always grab on well. Hope this helps, --Peter (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

(...) That appears to be a typo. The track fits on a FLL table, so it's a 44"x92" inch oval. And the lane is about 2ft wide. It's pretty easy to build and program a robot for this event. It just needs to follow a specific shade (actual value will (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

(...) Seems clear to me :) there will be magic.... Actually - looks like a really wacky typo. Hopefully Steve H or Brian D jumps in to clarify for certain. But, I believe the full track layout is 4' x 8'. So, the track itself is just under 2' wide. (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Post your bogie/truck designs

(...) I also have a set of very low profile bogies using the same technique as yours which I'll post when I get home. (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Post your bogie/truck designs

(...) These were for a BR class 47/57, but should work for any bogeys with 3 wheelsets: (URL) bottom of the two is the one I decided to use on my Class 47 seen in: (URL) Dean Earley, Dee (dean@earlsoft.co.uk) irc: irc://irc.blitzed.org/ web: (URL) (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Brickworld 2007 - Indy 5.00

(...) Okay, I'm confused. How can an 8' x 10' track be centered on a 4' by 8' surface? What is the actual width of the track? If the whole track fits on a 4' x 8' surface, then I would assume the width must be less then 2'. Gus (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.robotics)

Any Good Ideas For Custom Brick Separators?

We all know how handy the LEGO brick separators are. I was wondering if people have modified these tools, or developed their own custom tools for removing bricks? I have heard of (but not seen) AFOLs modifying the end of separators to work on single (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

--snip-- (...) That's because I have some taste ;) Yeah corugated bricks would do nicely. The studs on this work fine as far as I'm concerned and with texturing on the sides they'd look more purposeful. It's a dropship, not a sleek space-jet and a (...)   Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

(...) I'm amused by your response, because several kids on CSF lambasted the visible studs on top. I think you may be right, if I worked some corrugated bricks into the smooth parts of the side or something like that, it might look better. Thanks. (...)   Post your bogie/truck designs

Hi all, I've noticed a few queries lately on various bogie/truck designs and decided to make this thread to keep track of what people have done. Just post pictures of any bogie or truck designs you have that you think other people may be interested (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

--snip-- (...) I reckon that God ordered them to reverse the heathen lighting system. (...) The Seraphim are awesome. I think the Adze could probably handle a little more texturing here and there but I like the feel of it. The rear door and (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

(...) Tan and light gray is the GI color scheme indeed. I discovered more recently that dark gray and tan contrast much much better, and look really fantastic. I've rebuilt some of my GI MOCs in that color scheme, and I guess they can be elite (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Shutdown/Off while program running crashes BrickOS

(...) Yes, that should be the latest version. (...) That is correct. You shouldn't need to do anything else. At one point, I made some changes to the firmware so the program could also access the run button. But, normally all that is handled in the (...)
