Re: Anyone seen/baught a PAB Tub?

(...) Not having the luxury of being at many pick-a-bricks in my lifetime.... I may be mistaken... BUT I was under the impression that "packing" or "stacking" cups was forbidden. Do they not have some signs in that regard? Or was that just an (...) (19 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: What TLG set "revolutionized" your building?

(...) [LEGOSet 10020] was quite a Eureka moment for me. SNOT construction and realism all at a scale (:P 8-widers) that made me thing I could do something like that. For a long time I used it as my ultimate goal... to make a toy that looked like a (...) (19 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) -Snip- (...) Ditto! I used to stare at that book and wish I could build all the stuff in there. Wow. The memories. Thank you for bring that up.   Re: (was ) What TLG set (AFoL MOC) "revolutionized" your building?

What AFoL (Adult Fan of Lego) MOC (My Own Creation) gave you that first "aha" moment when you saw it online or in person? How did it affect you? For me it was first seeing Mladen Pejic's "Mirage" Mecha. While learning to use the internet prior to (...) (19 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Anyone seen/baught a PAB Tub?

(...) I am aware of the new PAB green tubs, but like most I am waiting for a better selection of PAB. I was told that for those of us who are "good at packing the cups" will make out like bandits with the new tubs. The new tubs are available at the (...) (...) Oh yeah, I forgot there was an HTML interface :) (...) Its one of 900 or so I get a day caught by SpamAssassin. This one got through as it was purely a binary and 10K larger than the 200K limit for emails to be virus scanned :) As it was a (...) (19 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.general)

(...) I'm not sure that my AFOL building experience was changed greatly by any set in particular, but my childhood building style was affected by lots of sets. - 6080 King's Castle had me obsessed with the idea of "opening" buildings with hinges. (...) (19 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.build)

Air & Space - Celebrating 50 years since Sputnik

The current issue of Smithsonian's Air & Space Magazine has a tribute to 50 space-related things, celebrating 50 years since the launch of Sputnik. And LEGO Space is one of them! From what I remember of my youth, the discovery of the headlight brick was probably what made me understand and memorize brick geometry; in particular the fact that you could have a rotated (nobody said "SNOT" at the time) 1x1 brick between (...)   inserzione eBay con prezzo esagerato... secondo voi é sfruttamento dell'ITLUG?

(...) Cafe Corner is great. I have been making buildings with angled sides for years, but never used the techniques used in Cafe Corner. So it was nice to see a new approach.   The formation of Scot LUG

  Anyone seen/baught a PAB Tub?

I was at the Woodfield IL LEGO store this weekend, and I saw something I'd never seen before. A Pick-A-Brick Tub! It was a Green Tub.
