  Re: The Cruella d'Villa

(...) Ben: The resize thing isn't a bad idea--I have my camera set for ridiculously huge for a reason--it makes for better pics at printing for 8x10. But, I will try to resize them all over the weekend (at least, the Cruella d'Villa pics) to (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) That's the factor that makes the rest of it make sense. Obviously, the focus groups happened in office buildings, under cool-white fluorescent tubes. There's no way they did it outdoors, or under banks of incandescents, or LED's or anything (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) Well, the thread seems to have gone a bit off track. I guess that's good- a discussion of lighting technology is appropriate- after all, without light, it doesn't matter what color anything is. But, back on topic- It's been mentioned that (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) "My reasons are as follows: ...More attractive hues which better match other LEGO colours" Looks like a statement of (supposed) fact to me. So, you presented it as fact. You demanded evidence when I informed you that you were wrong. You don't (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) There are other colors available on Bricklink. I'm not sure which would work best with that particular look, but it's also not my MOC. As much as it pains me to admit this, if it didn't have such a Navajo geometric vibe going on, I'd even (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Why do you love bley?

(...) Not every marketing decision works out as well as intended. In the initial announcement, TLC said that they had done marketing groups in the interest of supposedly bringing four colors more in line with the rest of the LEGO color palette, and (...)   Re: BrikWars - Battle Road

(...) Oops. I'd forgotten about that one. (...) I thought they worked really well. I was actually hoping for some squad-on-squad combat, but it didn't work out that way. I'd also love to play a larger scale game using squads at some point. Something (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-07, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars, FTX)

  Re: Mark's Pad

whoa whoa whoa! That desk set up made with brown parts! Duuuude! That's too cool! The speakers and entertainment center too! Heck I like it all! Wow. At first glance I thought the table was a Klingon Battle Cruiser! Staying tuned for the next (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-07, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOC: ZombieTron "Just when you thought it was safe to put on a pressure suit!"

HAHAHA! I can see you building this now, you must have come across some parts that seemed boney or bloody and you were like, "oh ya, this is going in.." muuhhahahahahaha. Funny thing also, is you picking up this big moc and showing it to your (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer

David! I really love this Super Galaxy Explorer! Seeing this brought back so many memories. I like just about everything on it. I did think that the large slopes as the upper tail wings were a little bit out of place, but that is only because they (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: The Quantum Super Thunder Galactic Robo Fighter: Atomictron 7

I'll wrap this into one post and save some room. Thanks for all your comments. It was fun building something with a bit of a cartoony flare to it. And the X-pod container just really seemed to fit. A lot better than the typical dome canopy. This (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: ZombieTron "Just when you thought it was safe to put on a pressure suit!"

(...) Oh, man! I just got around to looking at this- I'm sorry I waited. This is the most gruesome, disturbing, entertaining spaceship I've seen. Glorious! (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

(...) Many thanks, Tom! I just knew the revelation of the big face would be best if saved for last, especially if the viewer hadn't discerned it yet. Dave S. (19 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer

(...) Thanks Jeff! At first I had a full layer of bricks between the plates on the big ship, but when I was working on the detachable ship I made the wings with just the one layer of plates and BOOM, another V-8 moment!
