Re: Prototypes shown at fan event in Frechen (germany)

(...) Hi Stephan, thanks for sharing this great topic to the lugnet'ers as well. But why not offering everybody to say his/her opinion right here in the lugnet newsboard. This might give TLC another bunch of information ... I try to remember the (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: Prototypes shown at fan event in Frechen (germany)

Hi Didier, (...) These models are moreless scatch models. They are all grey/black only to get an idea of the size and the details or the choice between studs, tiles or both building ways. They didn't cared about the colors at all. So don't worry (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: BrickFest 2007

(...) Good one! But actually, that's a good point; instead of riffing on BrickFest (BrickWorld) or LEGOWorld (BrickWorld), it could've riffed on NWBrickCon (MWBrickCon), which in my mind is the premier regional event in the US. (...) Well, I have to (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: BrickFest 2007

(...) Which is a shame, because 2BeCon was really a lot of fun (especially the year before, when it didn't implode). And I don't think we'll have a corset-fitter at BrickWorld (mores the pity), or the pirates :-). But yes, on a more serious note, (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: BrickFest 2007

(...) Agreed. Some might find it important to note that Brickworld essentiall grew out of discussions at last year's Chicago House of Bricks. Last year's HoB was a great success, but the sci-fi convention it was attached to was--to put it mildly, (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: The difference between hobbyists and collectors...

(...) Funny; when I first read that, I read 'all I ever wanted growing up was TO BE a pet monkey". I like my version better... it explains so much more about Chris :-). (19 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: NQC vs. NXC vs. MS-VC vs. RobotC

(...) Elizabeth, It may be very useful to create a table, with columns for these different programming environments, and then you could have rows for all the features. That would make it easy for people to help you fill in the blanks. You may want (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Newfound growth or splintering the existing base?

(...) I see what you mean by it, although I don't agree. By that line of thinking, BrickFest 2006 (held in a different venue, organized by different people, and more of an expo than a convention) wasn't an "original" BrickFest either. So there (...)   Let's Talk about the 2007 Sets

Re: NQC vs. NXC vs. MS-VC vs. RobotC

  Re: BrickFest 2007

(...) It would have been silly to choose NWBrickCon. That name's already been used. :) Seriously... I'm not sure exactly where the name came from, but it's just a name. I'd have to think it's because there may be a "World of Bricks". Steve (19 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Newfound growth or splintering the existing base?

(...) Sorry Kelly, but there is not going to be a BrickFest 2007. BrickFest PDX is not a replacement to the original Washington D.C. version.
