  Legcutus of Borg

Presenting (URL) Legcutus of Borg!> (URL) After finding the instructions for set 3723 on Peeron, I decided to build a minifig sculpture for myself. But when I was told the theme for this year's Hawaii FLL robotics tournament (which I was displaying (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX) !!

End of Dora the Explorer in LEGO?

Hi, I notice, that last years DUPLO sets with Dora the Explorer are no longer to be found at Shop-at-Home. And MegaBloks has just announced, that they have got a new license with Nickelodeon, including Dora. So does that mean, that LEGO's license (...)   RE: nxt + i2c sp03 Text-To-Speech?

The NXT can also optionally apply 9V to I2C sensors on the same input/wire that is used for reading the analog values. There's a flag to set this up. I know it is accessible in RobotC and I think you should also be able to set it up via NBC. SO (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Can someone fix the AquaRaiders database/info?

Can someone correct/fix the 'New' AquaRaiders listed on the LUGNET database 'Released' year should be '2007' not 2006. Just because LEGO released the series late 2006, it does not mean it is a 2006 theme. Even LEGO mention the theme is a 2007 line (...)   Re: Where Have All the Studs Gone?

(...) I understand the word "enthusiasm" fits very nicely here, but what does "professionalism" as "a fan" means really? "I'm a professional fan of lego...yes, the famous toy intended mostly for children up to 12 years old..." "I'm a profeesional (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Where Have All the Studs Gone?

(...) Here is a list of possible subjects for your upcoming dear lego posts. I just want to help, since I missed many of them during my absence, too, and still sorry for not being there for sharing. 1. The Colors Medium Stone and Dark Stone. 2. Blue (...)   Re: nxt + i2c sp03 Text-To-Speech?

Hi Tony, (...) Nice little beast! (...) Most probably it should work. I am a bit more concerned about current consumption (80mA - not 80mAH as shown in documentation!), since the 4.3V supply can deliver 180mA for ALL seven NXT ports. You may also (...)   Re: Where Have All the Studs Gone?

(...) Indeed they are, but the answer as I see it has been touched upon many times before - the LEGO system is constantly changing. It has always been changing, I don't see many sets with (URL) these> or (URL) these> in them any more. (...) Again, (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  nxt + i2c sp03 Text-To-Speech?

I'm a software guy, not a hardware guy. I have very little experience designing circuits. To show how little I know, I'm actually reading through Electronics Projects for Dummies at the moment. ;) Well in this book they describe a simple (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Where Have All the Studs Gone?

(...) Having purchased the set online, no I did not have that luxury. I wanted to get an NXT, I am satisfied with that purchase, and I believe I made that clear in my original post. But I wonder why all the smooth surfaces? Why is there no way to (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Where Have All the Studs Gone?

(...) Chris, not wanting to sound rude, but did you open the front flap to find the parts list right there on the box before you decided to pay good money for it?   Re: Where Have All the Studs Gone?

(...) And can you bring back 1x2 bricks while you're at it? If you looked around you would notice that studded technic is still alive and kicking.   Re: Where Have All the Studs Gone?

(...) For smaller length Technic bricks I have found Star Wars sets to be pretty useful, with the added benefit that they often contain many other useful bricks as well. Even Harry Potter sets seem to use quite a few. ROSCO FUT: .dear-lego (19 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)
