  Re: don't feed the trolls!

(...) There seem to be some that think compiling lists (either written or mental) is something to belittle or ridicule. I just don't get that. Seems petty to me to harp on other people for such things. It sure reads like you’re mocking him to me. (...) (19 years ago, 21-Nov-06, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: 100% LEGO Technic Clock with Electric Drive

Not content with a clock mechanism that was 12 studs wide, I completely redesigned the reduction geartrain yesterday, resulting in a mechanism that is only 8 studs wide. There is much less friction in this new design than in the previous one, so it (...) (19 years ago, 21-Nov-06, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Christmas Beetle

(...) I did make an offer of sorts to build a Beetle Bay for the Brislug meeting this weekend. At this stage I'm just hoping I get the time. It'll be the time rather than the size that'll determine the level of artism in it, but I'll do my best. (...) (19 years ago, 21-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: don't feed the trolls!

(...) Are you keeping a mental list of them? I would suggest you take that Thought Leadership, and turn it into actual leadership with a page detailing the Things That Are Too Serious To Joke About, so that newcomers don't make the same mistakes we (...)   Re: Springfield Tire Fire and 6 wide pickup truck

(...) Cool! I never got around to building it for real. The updated hood & chrome gives it more 'zing' & you made a great scene to go with it! Jeff S (19 years ago, 21-Nov-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Newbie question about old lego trains

(...) Unfortunately not. If you have this system (blue or gray plastic rails with a center brick with two conducting rails) (URL) the transformer, which is 9v instead of 12v, that you are talking about will not work without some modifications, and (...) (19 years ago, 20-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains)

New product LTCs may find very useful

In my desperate search for a chain-link fence solution for LEGO, I came across an interesting non-lego product that LTCs may find very useful and attractive.   Re: Chain link fence/fence ideas.

(...) This probably explains the significant lack of any LEGO part that really looks like chainlink fence. In the states, however, the stuff grows like Kudzu (another common american roadside site). Every industrial complex, many residential (...) (19 years ago, 20-Nov-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)
