  Re: Sticks and Stones....

(...) Yes, it was my MOC...but nobody ever seemed to snap pics of me with IT. I'm guessing Felix and maybe Robin W got snapped with it, despite MOC card "Do Not Touch" warnings. Not that they were trying to steal my thunder or anything...LOL.I'm (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - The Teachings of Jesus

(...) That's kind of a startling image, to think that all my LEGO characters, from Adam & Eve to Jesus to GW Bush have all had John Candy proportions, but in some ways it seems right too. Actually, the strange thing about the minifig's girth is that (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Tutorial on reviewing parts

(...) If you (started as a reviewer on a part) start to do the edit of a part yourself because of inactive authors, your function changes from part reviewer into parts author. So how to fix those errors apply to authors, not to reviewers. Reviewers (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: My First Classroom Use

(...) A team building AlphaRex had torn down and rebuilt the right leg module twice. Finally, they asked me where they could have gone wrong. Twice now, the leg they built looked like the exact opposite of the finished module on the screen. Why had (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Tug of War - R21

(...) I dunno, I've been told that Indiana shops steal your ideas and implement them elsewhere. That's been a major issue with outsourcing :) Calum (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Tug of War - R21

(...) If that doesn't work for you, maybe you should try an Indiana shop. (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Three military vehicles

(...) I'm glad you like it. (...) I missed the fact that there are two 'figs in the turret. Knowing that, I think you've done an excellent job. Just remember that panels are useful in so many different orientations... Jonesy tought me that. -Duane (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) The Indian outsourcing shop I contracted to develop it has the specifications now. I should see a release candidate any day now. Calum (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Three military vehicles

Duane, Thanks for responding, I'm a big fan of (and very inspired by) your motorized tank! (...) Nice work! The Bulldog and Badger both have two guys in their turrets and I got them as compact (narrow) as I could. The MCV turret is seven bricks wide (...)   Re: Three military vehicles

Marc, Good to see you online, thanks for your comments! (...) The turret on the Bulldog is in front of the motor, so there isn't much space to move it back without changing lots of stuff on the inside. The barrel was built to not extend beyond the (...)   Re: Flex system hose

(...) I've used 1/8" plastic tubing I found at a hobby shop, it is a bit stiffer than the Lego stuff but it works fine. It's only available in white, but you could probably paint it a different color. And since it's not 'official Lego', I have no (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) <SNIP> (...) Great MOC! Have you though about trying to slim down the interior portion of the turret? I've done one slightly smaller here: (2 URLs) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)

Technic, what happened to the good old days?

I grew up during, what was in my opinion, the golden age of technic (1992-1996 was the best). I remember seeing a technic model in those square catalogues and thinking WOW. So many functions and new functional pieces. I remember staring at pictures (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Flex system hose

Hello, Regarding the flex system hose that is used for hand rails and such on trains: Has anyone ever tried sourcing this elsewhere other than in lego sets? Might it be available at hardware stores? Thanks, Jonathan (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

(...) Nice hatch for the driver. The car doors as the shield on the APC are simple but effective. I really like the green pyramid on the main gun, but it might look better if you moved it back a couple of plates and lengthened the rest of the (...)
