  Re: Lego Graffiti

(...) I got a bit inspired and did my Brickshelf signature as a graffiti tag. It's designed especially for your wall, so feel more than free to use it or cannibalize ideas out of it in any way: (URL) It uses the "tudor wall" striping technique. (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

The meaning of "community" (Was: RCX 1.0 Button Cleaning)

Earlier today, I commented on LUGNET about how I had broken my 1.0 RCX by dropping it at an event this weekend. I got my first email response within a few minutes of posting, and with the kind words of advice and cautions, the RCX now sits beside (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: It's awfully quiet in here

(...) Mike, Like Brian, I've been out of town. I typically post most often in technic, but I read robotics and have been posting here since being invited to be a MUP 2. I've been very busy documenting the programming language for the NXT to help the (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Linestreamed racing zephyr

(...) Thanks for your comments JP and Soren. I was really going for a traditional steampunk style in this rather than a manga style so I'm glad you got that feel from it. Tim (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Lego Graffiti

(...) Hi Dean, I have done a few graffiti for my train layout. All in all there are two general types I did (both dealing with letters). First like here with thin lines of 1 tile thickness: (URL) Then with letters of different colours (which means (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  RCX 1.0 Button Cleaning ...??

Hi Folks, I need help from someone who has dissembled an RCX. I have looked at the assembly pictures (elsewhere) but they're no help. My 'On-Off' button is flaky. My first thought was to remove the batteries, then the 4 phillips-head screws and (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Dutch 1851 - by Joep Klazen

(...) I agree he has the shape 100% down but I thought that for the six-wide version too. I'll never quite get eight-wide but these are nice trains, six- or eight-wide. Tim (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: It's awfully quiet in here

(...) Brian, the battery clips are soldered onto the RCX's main board. A good solid jolt might have managed to unsolder one of them, or crack the corner of the board. JB (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Thanks everyone, I have a very rough sample at: (URL) I expect this can be developed and improved over the next few weeks.   Re: Dutch 1851 - by Joep Klazen

(...) I think that, yes, your bias is clouding your judgment, because it is obviously clear why he went 8 wide to model this train-- because he totally nails the look and feel of the proto by doing it. Compare it to his 6 wide version. There is no (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Going underground for the week...

(...) I think that's about right. We start at 1 or whatever. Each round, whoever can make it, they make it, if they can't, they sit out. Your "availability" is basically however many rounds you can run. Obviously if eight robots show up, we can't (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Going underground for the week...

(...) So what is the plan? We start the competition around 1 or 2 and since there's no Plan B at this time ('cause I don't have time to run something on the side and no one's stepped up)... i was thinking the other night that if we say we're running (...)
