Re: ***RCX BRICK VERSIONS***(RIS 1.5 tie in)

After talking to lego to get the DDK software to work, unsussefully might I add, but I did get some info regarding the RIS 1.5 out of the guy. Turns out the RCX will not be updated, it is just software updating. Didn't get much about the parts of (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: brictionary request

(...) Probably not -- unless the output format just happens to work with your program. When a real database of parts does get off the ground (with the ability for people to contribute directly to it in an automated way), I'm almost certain that you (...)   Re: What are the most valuable Service Packs?

Actually, Gary, I think that they may well be the same as those used in the Lego train Line during the same era. These two pictures seem to confirm that at least the yellow and black parts are the same; I suspect the red one is also: (URL) even (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

RE: Gears & Mico Motor (Plus Wired Remote Control!)

Re: do red minifig heads exist?

As we've said, the unprinted red ones were only available years ago. You'd be better off in purchasing the relevant UFO sets today, and simply removing the printing. It is a small enough part that the damage done to it by whatever you use to remove (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: What loc group does Brighton fall in?

(...) There wasn't ever a Sussex group, but up until a couple weeks ago there were groups for Brighton, East Sussex and for Chichester, West Sussex. More details about the history of the UK newsgroup hierarchy: (3 URLs) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Specials at K-Mart and Big W

(...) One of the supermarkets around here had the name of 2849 misspelled -- they gave it as "Gynocopter." For anyone who's seen the movie _Dead_Ringers_ with Jeremy Irons, this is quite a scary name. --Todd (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Gears & Mico Motor (Plus Wired Remote Control!)

I bought two shuttles in response to a posting that I saw on the Massachusetts local forum. K B Toy was selling them for about $130 apiece when you could still find them.   Re: 30373 - tie fighter wing piece

(...) That's too bad. If I knew anything at all about how to make parts, I'd consider taking it up, but I suspect the results won't be worth the effort. Maybe I'll just use the mockup in my set.   Re: What are the most valuable Service Packs?

I agree with Gary on the 1119 - it is probably the most valuable parts pack out there, just because of the rare parts it contains. However, I doubt it is the rarest - I think some of the old 60s parts packs must be rarer, and its likely that one of (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
