  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

(...) I look at my spending as a pack and a half of cigarettes a day! Face it, if you're working, paying taxes, you deserve something for yourself. I don't believe we're all here to just scrape by. Like the Rush song - ROLL THE BONES! "Why are we (...) (20 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Delta - another infantry support bot

(...) In my opinion, the binary load lifter looks an awful lot like in AT-ST but with a little modification. Imagine adding a set of arms towards the upper rear portion of the scout walker's head.   Re: New Mecha: Talon

(...) Those are supposed to be the sensor domes that are linked to a sophisticated targeting system. (...) As I said to Eric, I was really trying to fuse two mecha styles in to one when I made this one. I was originally going for a more reptilian (...) (20 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha: Talon

Nice. The Bley/Grey look works well on a mech. It gives it that metallic utilitarian look. This mech says it means business - and is design for close range destruction (with the large heavy weight arms - good for smashing), while having serious (...)   December meeting of SandLUG

Sorry for the late notice. It looks like the 17th of Dec works best for the SandLUG members I've talked to. We're meeting at the the SDMRM (URL) in Balboa park. And there'll be 3 members from SCLTC on hand. The museum opens at 11AM and closes at (...) (20 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.org.us.sandlug, FTX)

  Re: New contest

I take it you are thinking about using the CMUCam or some similar system with some level of intelligence on board the camera processor. After all -you are really not going to be able to shift the amount of data required to process on board the RCX, (...) (20 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New Mecha: Talon

(...) -snip- (...) I wanted to mention. I need another 10 Technic Turntables for my current robotics project. Aside from that, I'm not sure I'll be making any 3 foot Mecha for a while at least. For now, it is still a challange to build on a medium (...) (20 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Mech Bay 09 - The Cub Den

(...) Mitsubishi made one in 1945 I'm told. ;) (...) I think there are some cool building techniques on the middle levels of the Mech Bay. I'll snap some pics of that. I also owe people some shots of the Cub's ankles. Now I'm taking a break from (...) (20 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: New contest

(...) Hmmm, here is a similar idea by a group called "Evolution Robotics". The system (called NorthStar) is designed that a robot with a simple reciver can identify a room (and its position within the room) by reading the number of IR dots being (...) (20 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New Mecha: Talon

(...) Thanks, Marco I'm glad you liked the ladder system. I had seen something akin to it done on one of Brian cooper's mecha, and thought it would be a nice detail. I'm steadily putting more detail into my work. Talon isn't a very large mecha, only (...) (20 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Natali Lego

(20 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: How much weight can a LEGO chassis carry around?

  Re: Kuranda Scenic Railway

(...) Cheers Eric, the brown lines is a reflection as far as I know but it looks like rust so I quite dig it. The metal on the train tracks always does strange things so I never know what it will look like until the render happens. Tim (20 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Kuranda Scenic Railway

Wow, coolness, I love seeing these renders. Good build.Question: That brown line on the rail, is that a reflection of the ground? I'm not familiar with using CAD. Thanks for sharring. Build on! e (20 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.trains)
