AND there was that other time i was asked (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: BoP rtl19 - best 8 seconds of my life.

(...) Hey, hey hey! Don't blame me, Dave started the "do over" crap when he was sure he could be beat me (which he couldn't - giggle) Oh sorry Dave, I guess nice guys do finish last. Wink. Janey "Flogging the horse, Red Brick" (21 years ago, 12-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) You missed the part where you had to rig this crash twice, once when your robot failed (this is where Chris says "Do over! Do over!" and I curse at him), the second time when my robot was actually strong enough to fend it off: (URL) there was (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: rtl 19 'Sumo on a stick' pictures

(...) I get ya. Well, if we did it, I want to do it as a sub contest, eg, on the side the way we did marbles last time with DaveK. I think that went really well and Chris kept the parts to the BoP balance. If we are aiming for a "tougher" (eg, PX, (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Speed Computer

(...) It was on sale at S@H a couple of months ago for 50% off. I'd say if you need one, $10 is a good price. Unless you have a real need, I think $20 is too much. I have had one for a couple of years and I use it for one purpose only, dyno-ing (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: rtl 19 'Sumo on a stick' pictures

(...) So, yeah... we did it without too many restrictions and we had some interesting things. I wasn't smart enough to come up with a simple non-powered ring mechanism that latches on to the middle bolt and mucks things up for big strong bots, so (...)   Re: rtl 19 'Sumo on a stick' pictures

(...) Well, there's a balance here. If we say, you have to use a motor, it rules out a number of interesting little "shrapnel-bots" which use a strategy that is simply to obstruct. If you say, have a certain size, then you rule out other methods, (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Smallest "chicken walker" Mech?

(...) Dang! You got me there Kyle :) I don't think that I could reduce my piece count to 1. Well done! Nice design too :) (Zen mode on) Is a one piece moc still a moc? (21 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
