Re: lego headquaters in enfeild conneticuit

(...) At this point, there's no public component... just some marketing offices, some warehouses, and some packing facilities. That said, there's been discussion about creating something public for a while now. Not sure what the latest plan is, but (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego and other brand trademarks

(...) I seem to remember the 1998 World Cup football/soccer sets had a sticker sheet with a number of real-world brand logos. I don't clearly remember what any of these were, I'll have to dig out the sheet. They definitely had jersey stickers for (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

  lego headquaters in enfeild conneticuit

I have a question for everyone out there. Is there any sort of store or museum or something at the lego shipping center in enfeild conneticuit or is it just a building with no access to the public? thanks -flip- (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego and other brand trademarks

(...) LEGO has made a lot of promotional stuff for other companies, like the Falck and BRF minifigs, but these are single items. If you are talking sets, there's indeed the Scandinavian companies you mentioned (Maersk, Silja, Stena), and more like (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: First Ever Juniorized Lego Part?

(...) I don't have that part, and I just looked at it in Peeron. I didn't see the hole in the middle the first time. My bad. (...) I just found out from Phil Traviss that in Britain they made a few of these 4x8 curved plates with the missing notch (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: First Ever Juniorized Lego Part?

(...) So, I guess you would say that a brick like "Plate 2x2 corner" (URL) not juniorized, as even if it could be made out of 1x1 and 2x1 plates it would not keep the structural strenght whereas its bigger and older counterpart "4x4 L brick" (URL) (...)   Re: Lego and other brand trademarks

(...) Hey Dave.... I'm surprised you didn't think of them..... Esso, Shell, Exxon, VW (named beams), and then there are all the 1:87 cars/trucks. Is Octan a real service station? I have never seen one here or in Europe (Germany, Austria, Britain, (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego and other brand trademarks

Even if you exclude the movie and TV licenses (Star Wars, Bob The Builder etc), there are still many: Shell (there are many shell sets) Mcdonalds (the Mcdonalds Drive Thru set) Exxon (more gas station sets) Many licenced/labeled promotional sets (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Mince builds kids' meals (Kids love beef mince)

(...) How embarrassing... Let me rephrase that: No recipe is provided in the brochure I scanned. Cheers Richie (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Lego and other brand trademarks

Is there any sets where Lego has included references to other trademarked names. One example I can think is Jeep, for the 711 Jeep CJ-5 set. Are the ferries (Stena, Silja), and Maersk, names copyright/trademarks? Any others? Keep on bricking, dave (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Question About USS Constellation #398 & Hobby Sets

(...) Gary, My 398 box does not say "Universal Building Set". It is different from the other sets/boxes in a few ways. 1. The other sets came with an inner box that was supposed to be turned upside down to use as a display stand. The 398 doesn't (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: First Ever Juniorized Lego Part?

(...) I agree with Anders, what parts were you thinking about that were 'juniorized' to make this part. (...) Slight problem here Anders, the 4x4 with rounded corner didn't exist until 40 years after the Wing 4x8 Wow 40 years, that's a really long (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: ILTCO at National Train Show

(...) It certainly looks like fun! (...) Well according to the BS main page, "Multimedia files are now available between 8pm and 10am EDT", so BS may be the place to put them. Seems to work on my WMV files... ROSCO (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: ILTCO at National Train Show

A big thanks, I'm sure on everyone's part, to the people who help made this possible! That was easily the most fun I've ever had at a show, and an experience I won't forget. As a member of the community who's never been to Brickfest, it was also (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
