Re: need advice from lego gurus

Dan, If you are okay with it being further forward when it is raised than when it is lowered, you can use a rather simple but robust method of raising your gripper while keeping it parallel to the ground/floor. I'm afraid I can't whip up a drawing, (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  First Ever Juniorized Lego Part?

I was wondering about what was actually the first ever occurrance of Lego "Juniorization"? That is not an easy question to answer, since it is partly a matter of interpretation, but this part from 1966 gets my vote... (URL) is the "4x8 Train Base (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: SCLTC opens at the Orange County Fair!

All- I didn't quite get the closing hours for the OC Fair correct in my post. The fair closes everyday at 00:00 (midnight), but the SCLTC layout closes everyday at 23:00. -Ted (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

  Happy Anniversary, Calum!

  Re: Avoiding motor stalls

(...) This may not eliminate stalls, but try adding a bunch of spinning mass (i.e., a flywheel) somewhere in your gear train, preferably at the output. A big Technic tire (like from 8448 or something similar) would work nicely for this. This will at (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) This has to be, by far, the MOC from you that has impressed me the most. A lot of detail work went into the lava to make it look excellent. I'd like to see this MOC in person. Now you just need some lightup sabers. :P Rob www.brickmodder.net (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Increasing POV resolution from L3PAO

(...) Hi Edwin, Another option is to run povray with the command line switches (at the command line or in the box) +W2560 +H1280 +UA. There may be a way to set this in L3pAO but I've never used it so couldn't say for sure. Hope this helps, Tim (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad)
