Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Trouble in the Ten Items Or Less Lane

(...) LOL, yeah... Heads will roll!!! (URL) (...) Nicely done, Chris. You pulled that moment in time off well and I truly appreciate the TWISTED humour presented here (if not a depart from the Vigs I have come to expect, wink). Sadly I was behind (...)   STUDS Gathering this weekend? (Was Re: STUDS in the first world war.)

(...) -snip- (...) There are downsides to having a job, though, and James is required to work all weekend. So we are rather thin on the ground for a gathering. As an alternative, I propose a gathering in the city, like (URL) one that we had last (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd, FTX)

Joe Vig Contest Entry - Trouble in the Ten Items Or Less Lane

One word that stuck in my mind from the description of Joe Vig is that he is "Oblivious". All to often, I think, we have to deal with "Oblivious" folks. Case in point: You're at the supermarket, just needing to pick up one small item on the way home (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX) !

  Re: Transparent parts (small)

(...) It's true. The only way to get really nice transparent effects from ldglite is to use the trick described here where you render at a higher resolution and then scale down. (URL) believe the current model of the month at ldraw.org was rendered (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Definitive list of LEGO Themes needed

(...) When I go to news.lugnet.com, I see exactly such a list, right under the dividing line at the top. Adventurers, Aquazone, Basic, Belville, all the way up to Znap. I figure, these categories have been used here for a few years and have worked (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Dallas DART light rail

(...) James, I work in Dallas and I can see these trains outside my window all day long. Great job! Eric (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Stores

(...) As I understand it, LEGO Stores are a subpart of TLG. But TLG isn't a single giant company, but more like a collection of companies with joint leadership. For instance, LEGO Stores have to buy their product from the TLG distributor (and, oddly (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Who's got RSS feeds of your creations?

(...) Yes, it's certainly similar to what I had in mind, though broader in scope -- I'm mostly interested in coming up with a better way of finding pictures (what today you might use Brickshelf for, though in so doing you might miss out on a lot of (...)   Re: White noise around model with colored background

(...) Antialiasing it turned on in ldglite by -q. I'm not sure if this is done automatically by lpub or if it's in the optional settings box. Background color is set by -b and I think it supports ldlite and l3p colors style extended colors. (...) I (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Dallas DART light rail

Here is a first-go at the (URL) Dallas DART light rail commuter train>. The goal for this set was to implement a half-plate thick black line across the side of the train to better match the (URL) livery of the DART>. While I think I do have the (...)   LEGO Stores

Does anyone know if the LEGO stores are "company" stores or franchises? I assume they are "company" stores (owned and operated by TLG) but was curious. Ted (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Who's got RSS feeds of your creations?

(...) Late last year, I started a project that kind of addressed this (sorta) but let it drift. With recent events I've been seriously considering dusting it back off, and think it's time to actively solicit more feedback. (URL) LENNI is the (URL) (...)   Re: Who's got RSS feeds of your creations?

(...) It appears to be actually an Atom feed, rather than RSS -- Atom is a newer, still-evolving format that some feel is an improvement on RSS. Pretty neat though. I've subscribed to it using NetNewsWire Lite, and it shows the items nicely, (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Legoland

(21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.loc.se)

  Re: Problems with FindWorld() function

(...) The code generated by NQC appears to be correct. I've had reports over the years from lots of people who have had great success with using the world relation table information in the Spybot so I doubt that the firmware is buggy in this respect (...)
