  Sikorsky S-42 flying boat

Hello again! I've finally posted photos of my Sikorsky S-42 flying boat model. To find the pics, search on "SikorskyS42." This 1934 seaplane was one of Pan Am's first oceangoing Clippers, and was used for survey flights from the US West Coast as far (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.announce.moc)

  Entry-MPC-Jon Walden-Large

Here's my entry for the large category. He just barely makes the cut at exactly 12 inches high. It's the Bateleur Jus' Kickin Back and relaxing. Deep link: (URL) again -Jon (21 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Moonbase corridor ideas

(...) Or they could simply jump out, depending on which moon they happen to be on. Low gravity and all. (21 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, FTX)

rtlToronto Space 1 (without the square brackets...)

It was brought up when we were together at the train show--the attendees tossed aroudn the idea of doing an impromtu space layout. So I'm going to take ownership of this one. I have no idea where or when (probably at the library where we're having (...) (21 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Moonbase corridor ideas

(...) Ground level corridors could be wider, that shouldn't be an issue. My vote is for an interior width of 8-12 studs. But I object to any connections above the current height on the following grounds: 1) building connections higher distracts from (...) (21 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

  Re: More ISD Building Fun...

(...) No doubt about that, Mat. Meeting dates are set by those who are holding the meeting, so there isn't much we can do. I'll try to make it to the park on Sunday, but I think I'm putting too much in my weekend already. Take care and help prove (...)   How to run in XP as a non-administrator

I searched, but I can't seem to find the answer to this one. But someone must have encountered it by now. I installed the lego spybotic software on an XP Home Edition PC. Now it only works when logged in as the administrator. Try to run it as anyone (...) (21 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: More ISD Building Fun...

(...) Seems like poor planning to me, as I'd like to do bothe events. But I'll be at the park that weekend, as my other big passion/hobby is Starwars. I haven't built an ISD before, but I'm sure I'll have fun. I'm also planning to bring my R/C R2D2 (...)   Re: Conditional lines on sloped wedge parts 43720 and 43721  [DAT]

(...) Good idea with a twist primitive (twist.dat ?). Perhaps it would be simpler if it were only in one octant: 2 24 0 0 0 0 0 1 2 24 0 0 1 1 1 1 2 24 1 1 1 0 1 0 2 24 0 1 0 0 0 0 POV code would be: //x - yz = 0 quadric { <0,0,0>, <0,0,-1>, (...)   Re: FYI

(...) I guess it has something to do with this post: (URL) Do you have any idea if he's going to design Technic sets as well? - David (21 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Minas Tirith scenes

(...) Thanks for the comments. I see what you mean on the arch/slope thing (at first I thought you meant along the tops of the walls, which I was pretty happy with, but I assume you mean the shape of the gateway). That comes out of a) inverse slope (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Sweep Building

(...) Indeed I do. And other people mentioned most of the neat structural ideas, but the thing that jumped out at me was the lighting in that pic - on my monitor it makes the old section look like it's made of gold! ROSCO (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: Indy AFOL Knights win ISD building tournament @ Celebration III

(...) Congrats to all of you, guys (and gals!) I only wish I was there to help you out. I think I've been on more ISD builds than anybody else--except we weren't stuck with the table size you guys had--makes the build even more challenging! (I was (...)   Re: Box repair

(...) Piers, I've found that removing as much of the glue strip as possible (if you can use an x-acto knife well, this isn't hard), and using a hot glue gun works pretty well. The trick is waiting for the gun to melt enough of the glue (I tend to be (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Late April Meeting - April 30th!!!

Just sending out a reminder to everyone that the meeting is this Saturday. In past meetings, we've had people request certain parts to bring to the meeting and I'd like to revive that a bit. I know sites ending in _bay and _link have had a negative (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

  Re: Minas Tirith scenes

Very nice! I especially liked the flooring in the House of Healing -- set diagonally. I'd love to peek at how that was done. Keep up the great work! Joe (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Big Daddy! That head is a masterpiece! I like all the surrounding MOCs you built to go along with it too. What a great MOC, thanks for sharring! Wow! e (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.build)

  Re: GPS Reality?

(...) This may be a use (finally) for the spybot controllers. at least for those of us who try to stay purists. I can see that when it is in beacon mode that the LED is flashing, but i'm not sure due to lack of equipment that the different (...) (21 years ago, 23-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: 1/275 Scale Salamis Kai from Zeta Gundam

Now that is a cool ship to model! I am totally intrigued by the front end of that ship! So VERY cool how you made the it!
