Re: Final Official Statement - Maersk Second Run

(...) Larry's statement would be my personal take of the situation, given all the observable facts, and without knowing exactly what happened behind boardroom doors. Dave K -not that I want this to escalate into a debate. (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.lego)

  Dillution of trade name

Dear LEGO, While shopping yesterday in a relatively new US WalMart store, I noted that the various sections of the toy department have little banner signs hanging out from the top of the stock shelves. These seemed to be placed in such a way so that (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Vision Command

Ieri sera, dopo rocambolesche operazioni, ho installato il Vision Command su XP (per info (URL) risolvendo anche lo stupido conflitto della patch tra la directory "programmi" di xp ita rispetto a "program files" della versione inglese (se interessa (...)   Re: Part request: Propellor 3 Blade with 24t Gear Complete Assembly - 2740c01

Well, I've done a request for this part more than a year ago, but to no avail.... Since I'm an airplanefreak I would really like to use it in some MOC's So if anyone is working on it or is planning to do so, please let us know! (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: My First GBC

(...) I'd say that's a really good start. Many of the modules I've seen have places where the balls get stuck. Considering the number of balls running through the contraption, it's not really a big deal. Steve (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Final Official Statement - Maersk Second Run

(...) Wow!!! I am utterly impressed. It is as if a responsible adult has come into a chaotic room full of squabbling children and restored order, reason and common sense. Everyone leaves happy. What would make me even more impressed? If the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Arrays and proximity

(...) If I MUST program a state machine, I could program it to be a small array. Something like this: if(i==0) r=array0; if(i==1) r=array1; if(i==2) r=array2; etc... Self modifying code would be more elegant, but can that be done? If it can be done, (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

  Re: Arrays and proximity

(...) You CAN program it, or use the state machine structure provided by LEGO (...) You also can use NQC, but I don't know the extent of what's available on the Spybot. There are differences between the RCX and the Spybot. (...) Yes, perfect. But it (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

Re: Final Official Statement - Maersk Second Run

(...) I'm not sure that's necessarily a valid conclusion. Another possible conclusion is that you were wrong, but LEGO is such a good company at heart that they apologised anyway in the interests of peace and harmony. (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.lego)

Re: A query to GBC members, module builders, and technic model builders.

(...) I've had uses for the chain links on many occassions, particularly for making quick "proof of concept" gear systems (don't have to worry about spacing). The tread links I've actually never used in bulk until the GBC (but I don't build tracked (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) If you use 1 inch = 1 meter, a minifig is about 4 1/2 feet tall, a good size to relate to kids, I think. Then use four studs = one "inch", or one meter. It's not really accurate, but it sure is easy! Tim (Smith) (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  highlighting

I have three questions on highlighting. 1. Can one highlight one's own post? (I’m not a member, so I do not know). 2. Can Admin-A highlight Admin-B's Admin post? (should they be able to?) 3. Should Admins be able to highlight any post in any group? (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Final Official Statement - Maersk Second Run

  Arrays and proximity

I just got my Spybotics set cheaply, and I now want to start my machine intellligence experiment. However, I need arrays to process inputs and store experiences. How large can they be in the spybot?
