Well my copies of both 4403 and 7031 displayed black rotors in the instructions and box photos for the models in question. Both came with grey rotors. (21 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

If this one is not a fake ((URL) looks like LEGO is coming back to some studded construction nicely complemented by studless parts... The RC motor is perhaps a bit oversized and over-powered but is well integrated. Classical (but good) use of a (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Exactly.. as far back as 1999, when I was sorting bricks from 3033's and 2494's I noted that some yellow basic bricks has a very subtle red tinge, where others did not. I just figured that this was an odd red pellet that sneaked into the (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.color)

And if you look at the rotor piece for that set's alternate build image, it's black. I'd say it's a very good question as to what color piece actually comes in the set.
