Re: Project Building and Sorting Table

(...) I've used the small square-ish foam takeout hinged lid containers used to hold sandwiches and such as an alternative to those tippy bowls. Just lay out the container flat to get two conjoined ~5" square sorting bins, or seperate them at the (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

  Re: Post Christmas Shopping

(...) However, the mars rover is missing one of its tyres (all 6 wheels are there but only 5 tyres), hopefully LEGO can send me one :) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

What I have picked up: 4514 World City Crane at the MYER 1-day 30% off sale for $28 7471 Mars Rover for $50 at K-Mart 4666 Jack Stone police car for $6 (yes it was full price :) from K-Mart. (I wanted the tr-dk-blue bits :) 4480 Jabbas Palace from (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Project Building and Sorting Table

(...) The only time I do is when I drop something and it hits the edge of a bowl... then it tends to catapult things all over the room. Not Pretty. Don't worry, Larry, it's not like I'm eyeing those sorting trays you lent me or anything... =) Peter (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: Pieces Missing from 4094 Motor Movers sets

(...) [ ... snipped ... ] My son received the 10134 UCS Y Wing for Christmas and it too is missing parts. It is missing all of the 68mm redish-brown flex tubes and all of the dark grey flex tubes. It did have the shorter redish-brown flex tubes. (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

Pieces Missing from 4094 Motor Movers sets

I bought several 4094 Motor Movers sets, since I have a use for the motors. Two of the sets were each missing a piece. One was missing a red 1x2 thin technic liftarm: (URL) and the other a tan modified tile 1x2 Grill with bottom groove / lip: (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) ?!? "battleship, space station or moonbase module" !?! Ok, what are you up to...? Dear God, I love you. I'm sort of imagining Classic-Space meets Starship Troopers. Sick and wrong. Keep it up. Mark (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: RCX IR Transceiver Circuit

(...) I can verify the data on all but the zener and 6Cp transistor. I intended to put it in a text file with the diagram, but I'll add it to the diagram instead. The 1Kp and 3Kp transistors have equivalents of BC548B and BC558B, which are common (...) (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, FTX)

Re: RCX IR Transceiver and Sensor Port Circuits

(...) Stef, Please feel free to include my schematic in your page. Perhaps it fills a couple of gaps left by those already there. Mark (21 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) larger than mine. I did see the megabloks one, and I thought that was was a bit too bulky looking FWIW.. (...) Heh. :) I'm sure my dad (who is a major Snoopy fan) would love it. He wanted to know if I could build him one, so it looks like I'm (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Good Grief! It's Snoopy

(...) Very stable. It's weighted in the back because the head is naturally nose-heavy. I made sure of that, because I build the head first. My brickshelf folder has some build pics if you're interested: (URL) Did you use a 4x4 turntable there as (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Good Grief! It's Snoopy

(...) Thanks :) The problem I had originally building the head was making the eyes visible from the front view as well as the profile. Hinges are wonderful to build with :) -Anne (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Project Building and Sorting Table

(...) Peter, Nice job on the table. I too noticed that your sorting space could be much better utilized. I use these for storing model rocket parts during assembly. They are relatively cheap, $1 for 3 small or 2 large. I get them from a local (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: Project Building and Sorting Table

(...) I use the Meijer workalike versions of these and have been quite pleased. I like that they are sturdy enough to be stackable and to hold a bit of weight. They are spendier but they seem worth it. Do you have trouble with those bowls tipping (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: Project Building and Sorting Table

(...) Yeah, they're great on those two criteria, but being round, they're an awful use of space. Doesn't anyone make square disposable bowls?!? I know there are some GladWare options but those are pricier and still somewhat rounded. I'm thinking (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: A Community Problem (Was: Re: 10152 Update)

(...) This is laughable. It would be near impossible for a company to make a press release disappear. When comapnies issue press releases they go out over the wire and news sources pick them up. So if LEGO did remove a copy of a press release form (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

Heck, a customer like would get special treatment most places. (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)
